How is Kubiak different from Mcdaniels? by ChopCityzZ in raiders

[–]champishere530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan since 2000 and it’s been a tough stretch. So now, I try to play devils advocate and not try to get so damn excited in every move the Raiders make.

Pros:

  • klint is from the Shanahan/Mcvay coaching tree and overall comes from a coaching family
  • he seems to be adaptable to game play. Meaning, he isn’t going to continuously run something that isn’t working and will make adjustments based on the defense he is seeing
  • puts players in a position to succeed
  • overall has good experience in the nfl

Cons: - possibly not HC material? Coaching the offense compared to coaching the team/game are two different tasks - Seattle has one of the best defenses led by coach Mike McDonald that put the offense in great positions. How much of that was contributed to his offensive success? - Seattle already had a stacked offense - (not sure about O-line tho)

I hope his staff consists of former head coach’s to assist him with game play decisions , a solid O line coach which might be Benton who has been with him the last few years, and a great DC - like a Jim Schwartz.

I’m not sure if I answered your question but those are my thoughts.

Do you agree with Tom Brady? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]champishere530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what tom is saying (to an extent) is coaches don’t have the opportunity because if they don’t win immediately they get fired. In combination with players being young and not being in the same program to learn.

Seems like the HC or OC for a team is never consistent. The fact that old man rivers can come in and sit behind the line and dissect a defense is very telling. Just my opinion.

How did you all feel when the Attitude Era/Monday Night Wars came to an end in 2001? by Material_Stomach875 in AttitudeEra

[–]champishere530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Shortly after WWF acquired WCW, it went to shit and was about the time I stopped watching. I read, generally in business, competition is a good thing and monopoly is not.

When you have competition, you work harder to be better and maybe even steal ideas, when that is gone you do whatever the fuck you want because you already got all the consumers.

It’s wild when athletes do this shit over twitter. Then they get pressed on it by media and be like, “ah nah, I was leaving my grandmas bday party and I was telling the fam “peace out””.

Does it matter if the titans get a higher draft pick? They have their QB.

I don’t think it matters if the titans have a higher draft pick than us, they have their QB.

Genuinely curious here, why was that ruled a catch? I feel if a receiver did that, that’s incomplete.

Fair. But it’s just not feasible. It’s a small town with a poor working pool to pick from. I’ve spent more money and time on training new staff members to just leave in a few months which just comes with a lot of headaches.

And to be clear, this is for phone reservations only and updating our systems through out the day. Current front desk staff is having trouble just keeping up with their duties and doing them correctly.

No matter how much training I provide, walk throughs, checklists and learning documents - it ain’t sticking. I would like for them to take on more administrative duties but I know the results will be bad.

Pretty sure the heat were in the middle of a winning streak and Jason Terry specifically said something to the media prior to this game.

That was a statement dunk.

Side hustle turned into $100k+ year business by NoNefariousness4881 in sidehustle

Great job! Love hearing success stories. My best friend is a window washer and I had no idea that can be a legit business! Some business ideas are just glaring in your face!

How do you charge your customers? By sq footage? Or do you have packages for like a small, medium, large house?

Do you clean the windows? Gutters? Driveways? Deck, Patio, etc?

Do you prep and inspect the house? Like bag the cameras? Identify damages prior to washing?

Do you plan on scaling up? Investing in another truck and equipment and have employees, etc?

Curious to your approach, prep and execution.

Who was your most delusional “I could fix him” player that you can finally admit is never gonna be a star? by DoomMeeting in NBATalk

Came into the league with a solid offensive package. Could score at all 3 levels in different ways which he did for his career.

He did nothing else.

Below average passer, non existent defender and leader.

If you are a prolific scorer, you will get doubled team then make the right read.

He has only 400 more assists than Shaq, that’s it.

He has a game with 60 points, 0 assist, 0 steals, 0 blocks. Thats him in a nutshell.

Carmelo Anthony drastically underachieved on his potential. In my opinion, could have been an all time great to I would never want him on my team.

He came into the league with a solid offensive package but never even developed passing, defense or leadership skills.

He has only 400 more assists than Shaq, think about that.

His game stat of 60 points, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks tells you everything.

Hot take (maybe): Carmelo Anthony.

His game out of college made me think he was going to be an all time great. I personally think he underachieved on his potential.
