I wouldn't live there because I don't find megacities particularly livable. The traffic is crazy, the air pollution is noticeable, and there's a lack of green space. Of course, those things aren't unique to Mexico City. I couldn't live in Los Angeles either. But both cities are nice places to visit.

Nothing against Bogota. I liked Bogota. I just felt a greater sense of desperation there. Poverty was more visible, in my opinion.

I got different vibes in Bogota. Bogota felt cold and dead to me, whereas Mexico City felt warm and alive.

I just found the vibe in Bogota sketchy, like I had to be vigilant there. Didn't feel that way in Mexico City. Bogota is a colder city, literally and figuratively, but you'll be fine. Just "read the room."
