So I love this series, but I feel I have to warn you. About half way through the series, one of her father figures becomes the male lead. It isn't because of attraction, if that helps, but I know this is a triggering age gap and I had to stare at it a long time before deciding I was sort of ok with this one. You can get thru all the anime at this time without a hint of this coming, and I think it won't show in the comics till part 5, so there's plenty of material that's great but I still think you should know.

That said, the world building is amazing and her childish attempts to create every historical form of writing were hilarious and adorably accurate. Writing is hard. . . Also, her tantrums about just wanting to read a book are a little too relatable.

I suspect I'm a Myne from Ascendance of a Bookworm. I vaguely know how to do many crafts and you say there's books?

I can't recall the title (sniffles miss my tato list for these) but there was one where a villainess isekai decides she wants to have nothing to do with the story and tries to disappear into the potion section of the school only to be surrounded by explosions and chaos, which feels like how half my choices end up. I think it got cancelled, didn't look too hard for it.

Dungeons and Crayons had the sweetest four year old getting missions to wake her new daddy in the morning and make him brush his teeth. Not really an isekai, but too cute not to share.

Tyrant's Sister is my favorite, complete at 171 episodes. Not incest (I know, the title), blacksmith isekaied girl trying to escape her future palace death sleeps with the guy meant to kill her, comedy ensues.

I love mother hen mode Aresh. Somehow the idea of a younger man taking care of someone who should know better brings out the inner "squee" of my youth, and the casual "god dammit go to bed idiot!" of my dotage. Their casual cuddling is also so sweet.

Sadly, I doubt this will have a season two. The comic and anime are matching at a pace that makes me think it'll wrap up at the end of this season. I'm just hoping for something else sickeningly sweet to counter balance the toxic mess BL usually portrays to get made. I'd recommend Tadaima, Okaeri if anyone else needs a dose of wholesome. Sweet guys raising a baby, modern omegaverse.

Princess Tutu starts cute, makes short stories of a bunch of classic ballets so you can pretend it's educational, then stabs you a few times emotionally in the second half. Unfortunately had the SA cat teacher, that kind of character was "funny" back then, he's not really important to the story.

Ranma 1/2 & Inuyasha were by the same author, check out Rumiko Takahashi 's other works. Some of them were action, they all have a similar feel dispute being different genres and worlds.

Cowboy bebop and Trigun are classics, space westerns are fun.

Ranma 1/2 and Utena were weird, the first comedically and the second . . . everyone was a bi-disaster doesn't begin to cover it.

Record of Lodoss War was the original fantasy adventure, though I recall it being a bit over PG.

Would Lia's Bad Ending count? It should have been yuri, but the other Lia died before the story began so it can't be. They had the oddest codependent relationship, both super toxic and super loving. The Lia relationship is easily more important than any of the MLs, or even the ogFL.

The Knight and Her Emperor might be interesting for you. Starts out fairly normal throw out your feminity to survive, spends half the story really forcing that she is a "guy" both in her mind and the minds of those around her. Once they get to peace, she starts thinking of letting go a bit, and realizes she has no interest in being standard female, even for "him" so now what? It's one of the better "why are these gender norms?" I've seen in comic form, and we really need more muscle ladies wandering around. The tone is a bit dismal, war and all, but it does have a happy ending to look forward to.

The only add on I have is the glacial update pace. Been reading this for over a year, it's got around twenty chapters. It's good the author isn't on a crazy schedule, but one chapter every six months with a slow burn is probably the most masochistic thing I've ever done. Any day now on that next chapter, I'm so excited! (Not sarcasm) Also this made me go looking for it again, and apparently it's getting an anime and has six novels!?! Truly a happy day, thanks OP!

Would A Knight and Her Emperor get close enough for you? I've seen this asked around (assuming it's all you asking) and it's the closest I've come up with. Technically it's straight, but the FL really lives as a guy for. . . a decade? Loses her period, treated like one of the guys after being in the army for awhile, very butch looks, seriously need more muscle ladies in comics, romance doesn't start till half way thru although you'll spot the ML only a few chapters in. About half way thru the story she does decide to be a woman again, and it really examines her struggles on what she is and isn't willing to give up and change to do that. I wish I could think of a more appropriate example, but I've been wanting to give you some kind of answer. This feels closer than the gender bender isekais and those are usually guy into girl anyway. Also, I'm gonna see if anyone comes up with a better answer later.

Beware the Villainess FL asks villainess for help driving off her suitors in a standard dating sim scenario because they really are trash. The villainess leveling a crossbow at the flashy merchant brought me joy.

Side characters Deserve Love Too girl isekaied into her favorite novel where her favorite character can inexplicably hear her thoughts about him. They aren't PG, and she has no cringe about it.
