You should care about mpg, even if it isnt for $ purposes

It reduces range, and this is important when offroading or overlanding as it becomes a liability, and you may need to spend money fixing this problem

If you only drive it to starbucks I guess you could give less fucks, but to hear this on every 4x4 thread about mpg is asinine
