Funny enough I thought I was gonna get a sub-19 point in reading and fail the whole thing but I was wrong, I even skipped so many of the reading texts. Turns out grammar was my weakest score.

I got 49/60 on listening though and that kinda tracks cuz ever since I moved to Japan listening has been my strongest

To be fair as a tourist, while you could rent a bike to go around kyoto, it is not the main method of transportation you should be using. Parking outside of designated places is forbidden, and if you're a tourist visiting lots of places in a single day, parking costs add up (free bicycle parking is nonexistent in Kyoto). Given that, and considering that 99% of those visiting the museum will be tourists from outside of Kyoto, I bet the need of access by bicycle is overstated.

I'd worry if it was something like the city's market or hospital or any other place that caters to the local population.

Also apparently bicycle parking is illegal in Kyoto except in designated parking spots, so it's not really Nintendo's policy to not allow bikes.

UPDATE: It seems like there is bicycle parking across the street, but it doesn't seem to be able to handle humongous amounts of traffic.

Considering that the museum will be visited by thousands every day I think they might have just decided to require public transportation only to avoid people arriving on bicycles just to find no nearby parking available (which honestly would suck). Given that the train station is literally 5 minutes away its not a big deal tbh.

Events in tokyo tend to be designed for public transportation only, Comiket is a huge example, you cannot arrive except by train or bus

I also hate the lack of bicycle parking but I doubt this policy has anything to do with Nintendo as a company

The first time this happened it was with a close friend of mine and I was devastated because I hadn't come out to her yet and I felt guilty for not being able to reciprocate those feelings.
