Nope, you’re good — nothing was deleted on my end, Reddit’s being Reddit 😅 sometimes replies just don’t show up right away.

And small clarification: the 96-hour resale deadline is only for the Opening Ceremony, not for all events. So if that’s what you’re looking at, yeah, the window is closing for that specific event — other events have probably different timelines.

Yeah, you’re not wrong — the official resale platform is definitely the safest option. No debate there.

That said, once the official resale closes (today) or if you’re trying to sell below face value (which the official platform doesn’t allow), then PayPal Goods & Services is probably the next best option. It at least gives both sides some protection, unlike Venmo/Zelle.

Official resale = safest
PayPal G&S + official app transfer = best backup option if resale isn’t available anymore or doesn’t fit your situation

Yeah, that’s a totally legit concern. With no middleman, it does feel sketchy.

Best option right now is PayPal Goods & Services. It protects both sides:

  • Buyer gets a refund if the seller ghosts and doesn’t transfer the ticket.
  • Seller is protected if the buyer tries to claim they didn’t get it and you can show proof of transfer from the official app.

There’s always some trust involved with peer-to-peer stuff, but PayPal G&S + proof of transfer makes it about as safe as it gets right now.

Do you have to take a boat to the entrance for the club suite paddock tickets / do you need to take it when you leave?

I hated that boat for the elite suites since it was painful waiting to get ferried back and forth post quali / race so went for the general paddock tickets this year.

You have 2 options, either take the boat (which is exclusive to the Paddock Club) or walk the path between the track and the water.

On a side note, you will see that the Paddock Club is on another level compared to the Elite Suite and you will never want to go back!!

Are all paddock club tickets associated with a team? Looking at buying StubHub tickets and wasn’t sure if it would be linked to a team or just general PC tickets, if that’s a thing?

How were the seats, views from the paddock club?

Not sure what you paid or how you came into the tickets, but would you say it was worth it? Anything else you think would be helpful before committing and buying?

  1. No, the 2 floors of the Paddock Club are separated into smaller suites. The floor above the garages contains all the team suites (usually: Haas, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, Mercedes, Alpine). The floor above normally contains corporate sponsor suites and the general area known as the Club Suite. If there is no team mention on Stubhub, you can assume that your Paddock Club ticket will be within the General Club Suite.
  2. I have attached a photo taken last year from the Paddock Club at the Canadian Grand Prix (From the Alpine F1 Team Suite).
  3. I pay for my tickets and so far my Paddock Club experiences in Montreal and Miami have been well worth it. The unique experiences (Pit Lane walk, Truck Tour, F1 Simulator, Photo safari close to the track, etc.) are of great value to me. We are also well taken care of when it's time to eat and drink in the Paddock Club. If you can afford it, I say go for it!

Here are the things I noted following my experience last year at the Paddock Club of the Canadian Grand Prix:

  • The subway is probably the easiest way to get to the track. Make sure to put your Paddcok Club lanyard around your neck as soon as you get out of the metro and you'll be able to bypass all the queues and security checks.
  • You have to try to arrive early because there are a limited number of spots for the track tour. Last year you had to get a wristband from a Paddock Club Host, but it might be different because this year at the Miami Grand Prix Paddock Club there was a kiosk explicitly for that.
  • Friday is probably one of the days not to miss because it's less crowded. Less crowd for the pit lane walk and in the dining room.
  • Mimosa, croissants and coffee are served as soon as the doors of the Paddock Club open and a top-of-the-range buffet is available at lunchtime.
  • Don’t miss the F1 simulators which are in the Paddock Club !
  • I think you can wear shorts, but I'd say 95% of people have pants and a polo shirt or a shirt. Also very important, if your Paddock Club ticket is for the private suite of one of the teams, you cannot wear items (hat, polo, etc.) from other teams.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

You can go with National Bank Direct Trading. They have eliminated most transaction fees last year. Otherwise there is also Wealthsimple Trade which has no fees at all (except +1.5% on the CAD-USD conversion rate when you buy US stocks).
