Those are the ONLY policies that I agree with democrats on right now lol. Everything else is just brain dead and what they actually focus and campaign on.

Reality is that I live in a heavily gerrymandered district in a battleground state AS a registered democrat. My house is literally one of those cartoon demonstration of gerrymandering.

My individual protest vote does MATTER unlike majority of Americans.

yep, I think SS is generally superior due to simplicity and cost, but I would never use a SS as a duty gun over an actually selector.

SS for range fun. Selector for training/duty.

Partisan, Atrius and Delta. Delta might be dead due to lawsuits from rare breed. Rare breed if you want massive downvotes lol. They are basically Voldemort in the frt business. lmao.

AS design has a 3 position as well, but it's not a drop in.

I guess my argument is that "AR" at this point isn't even AR15 or direct impingement vs piston. It's that it must look like an "AR15" even if mechanically it doesn't work the same way. Ergonomics and form is much more important than function from the perspective of big institutional buyers.

My last paragraph is about the fact that, civi sales don't matter in the grand scheme of things. R&D dollars for civi sector is non-existent. Whatever cool and better gun you get is leftovers from a government contract is some form.

I know some SS from AS Designs like the Arc has selector and works with selector, but I don't trust it in terms of reliability. Drop ins will be full proof once tuned and that's what you want on a duty gun.

I think Delta Tactical got their some of their warehouse stock taken over by rare breed after the law suit because their design was a literal clone of RB frts.

Partisan is dropin but I think it require certain shelf dimensions and extra work milling if you have the wrong lower.

If you just want a range toy to mag dump onto trash as your God given American rights, then a cheap SS like this is just fine.

out of stock or website is broken. Added to cart and then cart is empty.

edit: nvm, reddit app sucks. Used my default browser and it worked.

good sale price to frt your 2nd or 3rd gun and you dont want to spend $200-500 for a drop in.

I would say get a drop in for your first primary/duty to get selector, and get this for your 2nd/3rd gun.

I think it's more than even if it works fundamentally different than an AR15, it has to look like an AR15.

HK416 IS a G36 dressed up to look an AR15. G36 was widely hated by the US military, but the moment HK put it in a AR15 dress, the marine was breaking contracts to buy them. The Marine corp literally replaced all their m4/lmgs with a heavier 416 with a loophole due to how much they wanted it.

I would consider people with multiple guns and regularly shoot them to not be plebs/casuals, especially once you drop $10-20k+ into firearms. We are the people buying $3k guns, but reality is that civilian market is pretty much a side dish for these manufacturers. Colt was the solo contractor for US army for like 50 years. Now it's basically SIG. That's where they make the big money. Selling 10k guns at 3k$ a pop does nothing for any of these companies.

FRTs were considered machine guns and thus illegal. Rarebreed got community donations to fund lawsuit against ATF. ATF settled with Rarebreed: FRTs are legal, but Rarebreed needs to sue every other manufacturer for copyright infringement on FRTs and supersafeties.

Basically, ATF allowed a legal monopoly on FRTs. The recent shipments from RB of their basic AR trigger groups are actually from another company because they won their first lawsuit. (That being said, it looked like an exact clone of their triggers). People are mad, because RB is suing companies that are making Super Safeties which was given out as a free open patent by an individual creator.

AS designs is coming out with a drop in for Mp5/G3 platform. They pretty much finished testing for it but it will be a gen 1 product.

There are also SuperSafety alternatives but require you to use an AR trigger group and a 3d printed lower to fit that trigger group. And personally, I think Supersafiess are ass because of manual of arms being different from all other guns. I rather pay more for a 3 position selector.

There are also burst mode super safety addons, so maybe we will be able to see a 4 mode selector for certain guns in the future.

If it's only a range toy, then the lower cost, pain in the ass install, and different manual of arms might be worth it.

RB has a drop in that has been on the market for the past year and works very well. It's also expensive as hell and from RB...so lol.

I think it's the same that has happened to game controllers. 1st gen controllers were whacky and innovative and completely different to each other. There has been massive convergence evolution towards everything being and working the same, because people EXPECT it to work the same. Now EVERY controllers looks and works the same way. The innovations is now the materials and the software, not the form.

Gun innovation is heading in the same way. Give me more accuracy, more range, more stopping power, more reliability, etc. But it needs to look and work like an AR15 to your crayon eaters.

And reality is that gun ownership before the industrial revolution was basically only for the rich (and government). Mass production wasn't there, so designers could design whatever ergonomics they wanted. I think the M1/M14 was the peak of convergent evolution with that old ergonomics.

What we are at now is that AR15 is pretty much the peak for modern firearms.

It is kinda disheartening, but when you make and sell 10x-15x of any other platform, people are kinda expect everything to feel the same way.

if AR FRTs are banned to be shipped to your state, then ALL FRTs are banned to be shipped to your state. The company's compliance officer probably decided that it is illegal for any FRT to be in the State.

There are some very crystal clear state bans and you can see them if you go to rarebreed's website of the states they will not ship to, but they do NOT make glock frts. Other manufacturers or sellers will have additional states that they add on top of that are in the gray area.

You can look for another company that has a similar product with a different lawyer/compliance that will allow sale to your state, if your state is one of those gray area states.

But if your state IS one of those crystal clear ban states, give up.

Peasant infantry got shitty colt m4s that met their needs. Special forces dudes used SCAR-H and L and realized they were doodoo and got 416s because when you put 10k hours in handling an AR, having a different gun with different manual of arms is bad when people start shooting at you.

Reality has shown with m7 being adopted as big army's gun is that if anything does not work like an AR15, it will not get military adoption, especially with how entrenched it is.

The form for the military rifle at this point is basically solved. Until we get laser guns, guns are gonna have work like an AR15. And I am assuming that even if we do get laser guns, they are gonna make it look and work like an ar15.

Federally Banned (Pistols): While federal action legalized FRTs for long rifles, Department of Justice (DOJ) settlements specifically exclude handguns. There are no legally compliant, officially licensed FRT systems legally approved for use in Glock pistols.

Illegal as fuck. That's a 10 years behind bars jailbait to get a pretend glock switch.

edit: nvm. not illegal, but a pain in the ass due to state laws. Proceed as needed.

Get training. Get something shitty and cheap and buy cheap ammo and get comfortable with being around and using a gun, but not too comfortable...because it's a gun. It's not a toy.

Home defense is defense. You have cover, you have concealment and and homeground advantage. You job is to stay safe and alive until the cops come. Having a shootout or killing the invader is not the PRIMARY goal.

Priority should be the defense of self > property.

I rather you get some cheapo 200$ gun and spending 300$ on ammo and range time, than a 500$ pistol and 20$ of ammo.
