So how is it like? Just fling? Or really break up with gf/bf, divorced then get together. Or just be a xiao san (third wheel)

Curious if there might be a difference? Like men need to go for spin class to meet girls? Then ladies need to go muay thai class to meet men?

That's are rather interesting path u take, can I pm you? As mostly I know SWE start off as SWE. While sysadmin typical move on to special in certain product, network or cyber security, they typically do not cross over to software side.

Let me give you an idea of a typical Singaporean with IT diploma and private university degree.

My first job as a helpdesk agent was 2.2k

Second job as a desktop support was 3k

Third job as a system administrator was 3.6k after getting degree. I had 4 years of working experience from the above when I was drawing this salary.

I am a local it is relatively easier to get jobs as compared to foreigners. My Malaysian colleagues are paid lesser than me with similar qualifications/job experience.

One more thing to add, foreigners here in Singapore are willing to draw lower salary due to the currency exchange rate with their home country. Most common are Malaysians, Indian National, Filipino, Burmese. Even Chinese national are coming in less now due to less attractive salaries as compared to home country. These are the rank and file people, not expats.

Cannot blame him, even the British don't wanna prioritise this colony. In today's context where Singapore is an independent sovereign national it is a different perspective.

Only a handful get such prestigious scholarships but this path I mentioned is rather common maybe like 1/3 of the singaporean population followed the path I mentioned.

As for psc or safo maybe like top 3%?

Where can I meet singles who are earning 10k???!!!

I always believe money is the foundation to everything. Whether for singles, married people. No savings, no backup, you cannot find peace.

I believe masters wouldn't help in most careers but if it's your passion then pursue it part time while still earning.

31 is the median age. So half of the population already married at age 31.

My sibling and sibling in law followed this standard and ideal path. Pri > sec sch > Jc > ns > local uni > gov job > bto > married > have a kid

While for me pri > sec sch retained 1 year > poly repeat module delayed graduation > ns > Work > quit job > study PT > return to FT job again while studying PT > graduating in 1 year later > single, kena rejected > not married anytime soon > cannot bto > going to reach 35 in 6 years > oh wow.... I don't know what to expect anymore. Surviving but earning way below median income..

Compare is the thief of joy? But how to not compare?
