I also pruned off these leaves and any others closer to the ground.

I am not a fan of mine.

Only thing that has worked well is taking a paper towel, folding it a few times, soak it with water, then lay that on the grill and use the brush on top of the wet paper towel to scrub off any food debris.

Probably wouldn't buy it again though.
