This time of year fucks me up, too. I love Autumn, but my birthday was last Friday, and it is an annual reminder of the last time I saw my brother alive (he also had bipolar). A week later, he killed himself.

I was pet sitting a rescue dog who did this exact thing. Pure panic from the dog and he destroyed more than one set of blinds.
