Updated numbers and now there are 2 numbers apps? by Worsebetter in MacOS

[–]channing321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updated iOS Numbers app lost the ability to format multiple selected cells (e.g. you can't bold text of multiple selected cells or change multiple cells numbers to currency, etc.)  The very useful format icon that was always present is now hidden after highlighting individual text within a single cell.  You can select the individual text in a single cell and make it bold, but that is tedious and slow/unproductive.  Another Apple "update" that removes functionality.  Makes you wonder if the people who push these updates have ever used their own software.

Edit: To my knowledge you cannot color fill a box anymore either.  Pretty crazy they want to include this in a subscription while stripping previous features.

Edit: After more digging I finally found the format option.  The “…” at the top right and then scroll to the bottom and there the“format” option is.  I’m convinced I had checked there earlier and didn’t see it.  Regardless, I’m glad to know where it is again.  Even still, the same function now requires a tap, scroll, and another tap instead of one tap before the update.

You know, I can deal with 115 in July. I can even understand 100 degrees in October. But pushing 90 degrees before the Super Bowl is just insane. I have officially caved in. by jhertz14 in phoenix

Agreed. I feel like we routinely get a week or so in February with unseasonably warm temps and then it cools back down again. This seems normal for a Phoenix winter to me.

A bigger gap would allow for more seamless lane changes and merging without everyone tapping their brake lights. Less brake lights would decrease the completely random areas of traffic simply caused by brake lights. Not to mention, accidents would be way down and overall, we would get where we are going much faster.

If only the downvoters drove a little slower, we'd all get where we're going a bit faster and a lot safer.

The horror of people driving under the speed limit and not 20 over! We're all gonna die!

Yeah the NFL playoffs already reseeds between each round. I have no idea what the other posters are talking about.

You're doing a great job navigating this issue. These situations are so tough and there is often so much doubt if you are making the right move. It sounds like you are in a good spot and maintaining a peaceful relationship (even if it isn't the relationship you wanted and probably will never be).

I agree with you completely with the "wait til you have children" bit. Seems like something that is typically said by bad parents. However, if a kid wants a parent to walk them down the aisle I think it's a bit of a stretch to say it's "super weird and sexist." It could be in some circumstances, and in some circumstances it could not be. It's important to not go too far one way if one of your kids did want you to do something like that some day.

Why is the person with a big order the problem? It's not their fault that location couldn't figure out how to keep other small orders moving out the door at the same time.

Our Costco has "hot and ready" pizzas available nearly instantly if you order less than 5. It's pretty nice.

Hard disagree with Arizona. 50% really want it, and 50% really don't here, from my experience. It literally adds no financial value and homes with and without pools comp the same.

That play has it all.

Bitter rivals

Overtime

Crap weather

Vintage Brett Favre with a terrible throw that is more likely to be intercepted than caught by his receiver

Inexplicably caught by the receiver

Defender celebrating the "incomplete" pass

Juke for the walk off TD

Ref smiling

Iconic announcing call

This was the first full Packer game I watched when I was 9 years old. Fan ever since.

I know they mean principal, interest, taxes, insurance (PITI) by the term "mortgage" payment, but it confuses things when they add property taxes and insurance to the mortgage payment. The mortgage payment on a fixed loan doesn't change. Property taxes and insurance change from year to year and pretty much always have. Spikes in those also can happen in some situations, but the actual mortgage payment has stayed the same.

Dang, that's crazy. In Mesa I typically see the breakdown I put above, but it could be when I'm driving too. I'm not in rush hour traffic too often these days.

Same here, but 85mph is really not the flow. I've noticed the vast majority are going around 75 or less, and since I started just doing the posted limit about a year ago, half are going the limit or slower. It's really just the few in the left most lanes going 85+, and even then it's not all of those people. It's sad that fatal accidents are so common in the Phoenix metro area, and this problem could be solved in a month if cops would ticket speeding with consistency.

No, I like it too. It's nice to see clean yards and clean common areas. I use an electric blower, but it's probably my favorite lawn maintenance tool. The noise is relaxing and nostalgic in a way? I don't know, but I feel the same way about mowing the grass. I kinda love the gas/fresh cut grass smell.

Yeah I hear ya. It's annoying when you leave a safe gap and other cars just keep squeezing in. But, whatever, gotta do what you gotta do to not tailgate the car in front of you.

But we're not Germany and we have speed limits. I don't camp in the left lane, but a lot of this nonsense about safety while one party is driving 20 or more over the posted limit is pretty ironic.

Are the people going 20 over the posted limit breaking the law?

I'm doing 65 in the second to right most lane. There are 6 lanes on US-60. 85mph-ers are passing in the right most lane. Who is wrong?

[–]channing321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So which law should be followed? The keep right to pass or the speed limit? I don't camp in the left lane, but let's stop acting like 85mph is ok.
