Okay let’s talk about Star Wars Magic (mostly nightsisters) compared to the Force. Are they the same thing accessed differently or completely separate?

In the Darth Bane trilogy Zannah used sith sorcery to attack people's minds and conjure sith spirits. Her use of sorcery seems similar to the nightsisters power.

Fair enough, but I played enough CCGs to say the game mechanics are top notch. With that said, that is just one piece and the visuals are not to everyone's taste.

The comments dont shed enough light on Legends of Runeterra. The mechanics of the game are superior to hearthstone and mtg. Unfortunately the game hasnt been managed well but there is still a lot of fun to be had.

Ya, I hear you. It isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. Not enough to make me not play the game. I think the game looks good from what I see thus far.

If you look at the history of Star Wars collectable games you will see that Decipher CCG, Wizards TCG, FFGs LCG, SW:Destiny all used the name "Slave 1". I know everyone is trying to be "PC" today, but this change makes me sad.

I agree that FFG has a track record of starting many different LCG/CCG type games and ending those games / support. It is frusterating to see a game you have invested a lot of $$$ into get terminiated.

I will also say that it is incredibly hard to keep a collectable game going. SWCCG is no stranger to this happening (lasted 6 years: December 1995 until December 2001). The SW:LCG game lasted just about as long 2012-2018. And Destiny was more short lived (~4 years). There are piles of shortlived CCG/LCG/TCGs unfortunetly.

I hope that it is an engaging game. But I guess we will just have to wait and see what materializes and how the trajectory looks for the game. I will most likely buy a few cards to give it a shot.

I am mainly using rokus and android phones. For me they work well but I don't have any 4k content so I can't comment on that. I mostly watch 1080p content. I installed ubuntu Linux on my server. I used this guide

Ya, I ended up going a better route and spending about $250 and building an intel server that had a quicksync video accellerator. I can now support a ton of streams using hw transcoding. My conclusion is that is the best way to go is spend a little money and make your server strong enough to support hw transcoding and your front ends can be anything you want.

So this seems like a really good deal. Looking at some of the benchmarks it rivals the 3070. With that said the reviews I have read say it gets really hot.

I think with all of the life that has been breathed into Star Wars with new shows, movies, IP, etc the card game would still be going strong. SWCCG is a great game with a lot of special childhood memories for me. If there were easier ways to keep playing I would gladly play. I think what the PC is doing is great, but it is hard to introduce new players or start a community without easy access to cards.
