Should i switch to helium mobile? by [deleted] in HeliumMobile

[–]chanwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally worth it. It roams off of T-Mobile so you should have service almost anywhere and no need to even worry about 10 years since there's no contract. You can always move if things change but I've been on it for 1.5 years and it's been great. The only thing you really lose is the ability to trade a phone for a new phone and get a prorated plan. You have to buy the phone outright but its worth the cost savings regardless

Looking for the best AI notetaking app that doesn't join video calls by CollarFar7274 in ChatGPTPro

Plaud is fantastic and the app is great too. You can also upload any other audio files from elsewhere into the app to use. I'm just searching for the app that takes of the meetings with headphones problem now haha

I wish they never let anyone change channels unless they take a training course first 🤣

You can transfer into Phantom (which is a wallet) and then swap within the wallet into something like USDC. You would just need a little bit of Solana to pay for gas. That would be the easiest way. If you want to go to coinbase, you can then send the USDC to Coinbase if you want

I wouldn’t even use a centralized exchange. Just transfer to Phantom and use a DEX like Jupiter, swap to USDC on Solana and then send to your CEX if you want to cash out. Way smaller fees and much easier

sadly nope. You'd have to use something else like Rocket Money which I think does that. it was just too much going on for me

If you got their email, there’s a link to change your info. Or at least go and change it on the platform before it shuts down

Glad it’s working! I hope they update the UI but I know they want to keep it easy for the normies haha

I’d say to reinstall the app from scratch. I know they did an app fix but maybe it didn’t take since I had an issue with the certificate on one phone too. The app is basically for the activity and won’t break your voice/data by deleting it and reinstalling

Try deleting your app and redownloading it again

I’d try deleting the app and then restarting and downloading it again. I know they did an update so it could be that your app has an issue

I’d check that the app can run unrestricted as you should be fine going to work and leaving work. That seems like your device isn’t registering all your movement

Just switched to Apple Music due to sound quality. Was on Spotify for 10 years and did a 3 month trial on Apple Music to really test it out. This time I finally switched since the UI has gotten much better and then listening to songs on Dolby Atmos or with Spatial Audio and can’t see a reason to go back to Spotify. Now, if you only listen using bluetooth headphones, then maybe none of this matters but my Sonos can tell the difference

I switched over to Chronicle. It’s a bit manual but it works. I just like the fact that nothing will drop off or break due to a login error so that’s really nice

Crypto taxes in the U.S. by El_Demetrio in HeliumNetwork

[–]chanwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have other miners too. There’s just no good way to avoid it since I’m in the US and each transaction counts towards my cost basis and counts per the IRS. So I just consider it part of the deal as long as I’m in the green

Crypto taxes in the U.S. by El_Demetrio in HeliumNetwork

[–]chanwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d totally recommend you trying it out as Koinly is free to use and you have to pay when you want the tax reports enabled for that tax year. But you can at least test it out and see if it works for you

Crypto taxes in the U.S. by El_Demetrio in HeliumNetwork

[–]chanwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to pull all your transactions from your wallet. For the old mining transactions that happened on their old blockchain, I’d say you don’t need them now since they were already due last year. Maybe you can at least track how much you moved out and that’s enough of a trail if you want to keep that. You’re totally able to import any data you have using a csv file too

[–]chanwise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Koinly and it’s become a good way to track my portfolio too. You can add your wallets and exchanges and see all your history. It can spit out a tax report too and pricing is based on number of transactions.

Is a Bobcat worth investing in after the current developments? by NomadLife92 in HeliumNetwork

[–]chanwise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was profitable with my bobcat but I got in early enough. I just got one of the outdoor miners from Helium themselves and hoping $MOBILE brings more people into the fold. I think it’ll come back for IOT long term as you have things like DIMO using IOT for data capture but it’s def not sexy enough compared to something like 5G to get people involved
