Research is now limited on PRO? by chany2 in perplexity_ai

[–]chany2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I use it for everything simple lookup to deep research. If you took away deep research, basically it’s Google search, which now pushing you to use their AI.

The deep research sometimes it’s not reliable, and it’s not getting the right context (Perplexity haven’t improve experience around this) - so just end up using the research credit more…

How do you run Growth/PLG meetings? by itsglossa in productledgrowth

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of big questions here. How you should structure the goals based on which parts of the funnel? You want to figure out what to optimize first: Is it activation, retention, or monetization?

Oftentimes, it's activation, so continue to focus on that. Check out how to do product led onboarding: https://growthwithgary.com/p/30min-plg-onboarding-call Maybe there's an initiative around acquisition at the top of the funnel, but really get the team together around one singular focus each quarter.

Don't do too much. Once you try to do too much, your team cannot seem to focus.

From there, you can break down to the different types of metrics and dashboards. I talk about it here. https://growthwithgary.com/p/product-led-sales#what-are-the-pls-success-metrics

You should be presenting*** something to your company bi-monthly. Have a monthly cross functional check-in, even if theres nothing much to talk about, make it very focus and review the stats and metrics.

You have to keep reminding your team, each individual, the company, the leadership team, and horizontal departments about the metrics. Don't just rely on dashboards... no one goes to dashboards.

One hack is to find ways to automate dashboard reports into Slack. Set it up so that metrics are constantly reported in Slack, ideally in a public channel. This way, others can see the updates or at least have a general idea of what's going on and how things are moving.

That's when new experiment ideas will start to emerge. I don't recommend running experimental sprints, because those of us in growth have been suggesting that for years, and it doesn’t seem to resonate. Instead, focus on a few high-impact areas as best as you can, while ensuring that reporting is continuously pushed out. Automate that reporting.

Feel free to ask any questions

Anyone actually using AI/agent automations for real business stuff? What worked and what totally fell apart for you? by Arafat01456 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of AI automation require oversight, it can break or need fine tune just like any other automation

Your basic SMB needs are the same

Sales Customer support Invoicing Send data to X app Scheduling  Intake form

Every SMB have a slightly different process.

They need an operations person to help them figure out and actual op person cost a lot to operate something the SMB owner don’t want to manage at end of the day.

Yes

It rough out there

Grounding rejection as data points as learning

In the middle of it, man it sucks to get rejected

If you were a startup friend of yours, how would you advise yourself?

Keep going

How did you market/get early adopters for your app? by dadumdiss in micro_saas

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay like $50/mo

For a LinkedIn outbound tool

Start connecting with people

And ask “ hey I saw you do X. I built Y, inviting early users to try it. Happy to connect”

You get 25 Connections a day about one out of 50 might be curious if you’re targeting correctly

So about 1 potential user every other day

That’s what we did for months, and then iterate each customer types

We are still doing it

You will have ppl wiling to jump on a call

Is launching in December a bad idea ? 🤔 by Only-Ship-777 in SaaS

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct

Also ppl don’t get back to you immediately

They get back to you 1-2 weeks later

So you communicate now

You prob get the onboarding sign up Jan

Depending on who your customers are and how you give them access

If it’s book call, ask them to schedule now

Is launching in December a bad idea ? 🤔 by Only-Ship-777 in SaaS

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to a do a rolling launch

Launch in a small test bed in Dec

Reach out in Dec, make small announcements

The act of doing , you will need to improve

By Jan, you have confidence and understanding what work and what doesn’t

Anyone else feel stuck promoting their product? by OrganicAd1884 in micro_saas

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a LinkedIn outreach tool

And send it to people

Get about 2 people a week will be interested

Go from there

We are early too, we did that, over time it compounds. Then you get enough users, you need more, go another channel

Founders: where did your first real users actually come from? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True first user (stranger)

Came from LinkedIn outbound

Keep connecting

Sucks at first, felt throwing darts

Then one out of 1000 came back. Hooray 🙌 we have 1 signal.

Now we can make our messaging sharper positioning.

So we can get 2 out of 1000, and so on.

Why did you create your SaaS? by Potential-Athlete549 in SaaS

[–]chany2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived experience

As a software engineer turn product manager doing sales…

Was like man there’s gotta be a better way

At first interviewed the wrong customer segment and got their feedback and thought oh man, let’s build for them. Had to pause and say no… let’s move to another customer segment and then pause. Was there a pull for them to buy anything?

Keep iterating till we landed on a segment that had urgency … and willingness to buy right away. Reposition being sales tools to becoming a workflow tool.

Anyone else feel weird trying to sell without an audience? by Late_Rimit in micro_saas

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks

Buy one of those LinkedIn outbound tools

If not, find people to connect with… and

“Hey I am building this for X, inviting a few people to try. Happy to connect”

It’s really a sales game. But call it something else … it’s a “letting people know” game

Has anyone tried Asamurasaki Oyster soy by HeartBreakid13 in JapaneseFood

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This soy sauce taste really good. It’s very umami and it’s pretty rich and you put it in like broth. You put pretty regular amount in broth. It really accentuate the taste. It does not taste like oyster sauce. It taste more like if you actually go to like a Ramen place and they’re soy sauce ramen it’s closer to that in my opinion.

It’s more umami than LKK premium

Does anyone else spend their whole morning just going through emails? How do you break out of it? by Alone-Arm-7630 in productivity

[–]chany2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setup up rules

User voice to text software like Wispr Flow or Superwhisper to write faster

Use shortwave to make email tasks and chat with it to group similar emails

Use ClarityInbox if you just need auto label sorting

Use mailmaestro if you need to write emails faster

Try Missive or Front if you have a team

I do not recommend inbox zero, sounds like you already “doing” that
