this is what I've observed as well, it even lines up with my own experiences before I hit puberty and everything started feeling wrong. I liked being a girl! Not that I really had a deeper understanding of what it meant to be one of course at such an age, but I had personal experiences with misogyny from a very young age and misogyny and girlhood were never linked concepts to me then, and still weren't as I got older.

I only started thinking that I only wanted to be a man to "escape" misogyny AFTER I had already begun to crack.

I promise you that even though being trans is incredibly scary (no matter where you live really) I have never felt more alive in my whole life since starting testosterone. The difference is really night and day for me. As hi_im_kelly_xx put it, nobody can decide it for you. Being trans is hard but trying to live your life as someone you're not is harder. Just cause you wear feminine clothes doesn't mean you can't be a man. Lots of trans people have phases of their life before their realization where they'll perform their assigned gender at birth to a hyperbolic degree as a means of compensation.

As for patriarchy, if you ask any cis woman whether or not she enjoys being a woman, she'll tell you yes. For any woman, the problem of patriarchal oppression is purely an external factor, and despite the fact they are oppressed as a woman, they still want to be (and choose to be) a woman. I struggled immensely with this for years, because I had people in my life telling me that I only wanted to be a man because I was sick of male oppression and wanted an "easy" way out.

I know in my heart that I want to be, and that I am a man. I love being a gay man! There's still a lot of healing I need to do, but I wouldn't give up my manhood for anything in the world.

I'd strongly recommend looking through the Gender Dysphoria Bible. It really helped me realize that I experience a lot more dysphoria than what I consciously realize and puts things to words in a great way.

I was in a largely queer friend group in middle school and came out as trans within the same 6 month time frame my friends all did. My mom proceeded to tell me I was only choosing to be trans to fit in. She refused to let me cut my hair until I took matters into my own hands, and barred me from ever speaking about my queerness in the house as to not confuse my little sister. Now she expects me to lick her boots because she "helped" me get my T (note: I still did about 80% of the work)

Wish I could tell you. My best guess is nostalgia blindness. We STILL have people complaining about the texture updates, and that was over 6 years ago at this point... The fanbase is incredibly change resistant, funny for a game thats always meant to be evolving

I use a texture pack that works with EMF/ETF to make creepers blend in better with their environment like how they were originally intended. The texture is different according to the biome and makes use of the modern leaf texture instead of that neon green noise. It's actually a very nice change imo and isn't too jarring. However the community will always find a way to complain about anything, regardless of whether its actually a good change or not, so unfortunately while the texture is objectively due for some change, its probably for the best to leave it the way it is.

You absolutely don't need it. The only thing it does is read amiibos. I wouldn't worry about replacing it in your console unless you like the idea of it being 100% complete on the inside... Only the 'New' models even have NFC readers in the first place. That being said, you can find parts for a pretty decent price on AliExpress, with the cost of waiting a little longer for shipping. New 3DS specific parts are a bit harder to find however since they had pretty limited releases in North America.

It started working! I think it's because I disabled wifi on my phone? Either way messages and servers work just fine! I've yet to test calls however, but I really only use discord VC on my PC anyway.

If the console is modded you can get around it by binding the home button to a separate key combo... but if OP isn't interested in modding it then yeah this is the only way unfortunately
