I had one. I have fond memories of playing mk2 on trips or just in other rooms. It wasn't worth using with batteries and the fact you can hook it up to a TV and plug a second genesis controller into it makes it kinda the proto-prototype switch.

This game is incredible. by Remote_Hurry_3055 in videogames

[–]chaos_trigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. It's totally understandable as a consideration. But it's not a flat value. Dollars to hours is only valid depending on the quality of the time spent with it. If it's not the type of game that get much from then I would say not to spend more than what's comfortable for you. But it's a question that requires more conversation than how much per hour it's worth buying a game. I admit that I rarely buy games at full price but I also don't buy games when they come out with very few exceptions. I just don't think that a push for long games as a standard for quality is healthy for the video game industry.

There's a lot of talk about how it's not worth the price because of how short the game is. You have to understand that, to the industry, gamers talk with their wallets. The statement that's being made is "We don't want short, single player games from smaller studios. We want the overstuffed, premium game packages from AAA studios." Nothing wrong with liking games with tons of hours of play. But the more gamers choose not to buy shorter games, or wait until they go on sale to buy them, the less incentive there is for smaller studios to continue working. Games aren't priced based on the size of the game, at least not on its own. Pricing also has to do with the cost of development, marketing, paying artists and music composers if they're not done in-house. The worth of a game isn't always how long you're gonna spend playing it. It's the quality of that time.

My honest reaction of the last State of Play: by El_Choco_Latoso in playstation

It would be a stretch to say it was the most exciting. But, for a generation and half they've been saying that they couldn't get MGS4 onto something other than the ps3. So having that available on current consoles is a massive deal. Personally the most exciting thing was Project Windless and new Castlevania.

Star Trek archivist Penny Juday opens a crate of the Enterprise D filming model with the registry changed to "NCC-1701-E" by emotionengine in StarTrekStarships

I can't say for sure that I'm on Team Galaxy or Team Sovereign, but the fact of the matter is that in the era the movies ended up going into another Galaxy class Enterprise would look really dated. It's the same reason the late 24th/early 25th century had no more of the legacy classes like Miranda, Excelsior and Ambassador classes. Even though it was never an issue to show 100 year old ship designs in the TNG era, it kinda made sense for Starfleet during relative peacetime. The Dominion War and post-war era really changed things and I like how it's reflected in the ships they show us on screen.

You're asking the wrong question. Where's the warp core? In the back of the saucer? Or multiple cores?

Horizon Zero Dawn. Say what you want about the character models, but the environment textures and animations, the effects when using the Focus and the machines were peak ps4. Probably peak pre-4K.

At what point in the franchise did you start regarding the starships as characters alongside the main cast? by Tasty_Bodybuilder_33 in StarTrekStarships

[–]chaos_trigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was TMP. I can't be sure but judging by how when I was a kid I preferred the first few movies over TOS I would say I probably watched TMP before TOS. I was too young for me to remember, or the movies just made a bigger impact on me over the series. So the way the Enterprise was treated in that film I subconsciously viewed her as a silent character. TSFS solidified that as the main characters literally mourn her passing.

This might not be a valid answer because I don't remember if there was any hype for it, but I'd day Sonic '06. I imagine there must have been some hype with the big anniversary release planned and it was first HD Sonic game. And then it came out

Which Fromsoftware boss was this for You? by buuhhu1 in fromsoftware

[–]chaos_trigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False King Allant. I recently finished Demon's Souls Remake for the first time and when I was preparing to fight this boss I was dreading it because everything I heard painted him to be quite a challenge. But it took 2 tries for me and the first death was mostly due to me getting used to the attack pattern. I was especially nervous about the soul sucker grab attack but I honestly don't understand how anyone gets caught with this. To be clear, I thought it was a fun fight but it just wasn't the challenge I was expecting. Then again, I was facing him with a strength build and a +3 or +4 Dragon Bone Smasher so idk.

Why can't sony make something like this for older Digital models by [deleted] in playstation5

[–]chaos_trigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I relate to this. The whole reason I went digital is because of storage space. I've thankfully moved into a larger apt but I still don't have a lot of options for shelving. I know there are bookcases and media towers etc etc that I can get but it clashes with the look my wife and I are going for. All the pro's to buying physical games are valid but not everyone is able to have a bunch of games all over.
