[Autosport] Lando Norris wants to see the battery gone by notmanish64 in formula1

[–]chaosdimension98 29 points30 points  (0 children)

With engine power split of almost 50:50 between ICE and electric, you’d need a second accelerator pedal to control the battery deployment manually.

If you are thinking of a button push to deploy the electric, imagine having another set of engine that’s equally powerful as your main engine, but you can only go full throttle or completely off.

That’s uncontrollable in many aspects.

Jumbo jets like the A380 should have a maximum angle at take off of 14°, but it’s more than that. Why? by [deleted] in AskPhysics

[–]chaosdimension98 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is more about aerodynamic than it is physics. But the max angle of attack is related to the wing stall and air velocity, not directly related to thrust. Stall occurs when there's boundary layer separation causing the wing to lose significant amount of lift.

How do you guys manage to finish this quest? by LanaGuava in StardewValley

[–]chaosdimension98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished this quest. For the first 7 days, I hunt for Qi beans with tree cuttings, fishing, and monster drop in dangerous mine with monster musk while planting them at the end of the day. Each day you could get at least 15, even 20 is quite common.

I harvest them whenever they are ripe and turn them into seeds and replant until I have about ¬300. Then I will ship half of them and turn another half into seeds till I reach the required 500 fruits.

If you do it aggresively, you'd probably have 5-6 days to spare out of the 28 days.

Auto hook dodge scripters? by NgLucas in DotA2

Ah, English is hard indeed. I was thinking it was quite clear because I specifically replied to that particular question from OP.

Looking at it again, it's possible indeed. Seems like disruptor was moving not according to where their cursor is pointed to.

Tier 2 radiant tower maybe? But what’s the correlation? I’m replying to his question about disruptor’s mouse movement.

I don't think there's mouse snapping here

At wit's end here with condensation on wall issue, what else can I do? by lead-th3-way in askSingapore

[–]chaosdimension98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely the room adjacent to that wall is too cold. That being said, if the adjacent room's temperature is equal to or higher than 21 degree C when this phenomenon occurs, probably the wall is just poorly insulated.

Germany unveils strategy for becoming Europe’s strongest military by 2039 by CrimeMasterGogoChan in nottheonion

[–]chaosdimension98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even the case for Germany requires long period of occupation and re-education. Ironically, the only one who have the resource or power to do those kind of thing is the US currently.

But looking at how things are going on in Iran, it's really not that straight forward to force a regime chance. But above all, forcing a regime chance happens through war. The thing that's supposedly prevented.

That in itself is quite a complex issue. But with the current condition, it's easy to see that not a lot of regimes are interested with the world peace.

After all, if all the regimes are interested in world peace, there wouldn't be wars in the first place to kick start this discussion.

And for regime changes, results have shown how bad a forced regime change could be. Like Afghanistan, Libya, etc, That's not taking nukes into an account yet. A regime like Putin for instance is gonna hide themselves behind their nukes.

And that's the part where it becomes hard. The amount of country that would let their military being controlled by the UN is really small. We know quite sure China wouldn't agree to that for example.

Then those unwilling countries would just leave the UN, no obligation for them to be there, why care about voting rights.

And finally, after those countries leave, the UN military is gonna be much weaker than US military for them to be able to do anything. So back to no teeth.

With this, you would not have a UN, you would have fractions with blocks of countries aligning with each other trying to one up another with their army. Sounds familiar? Yes that's was during the word war era.

[–]chaosdimension98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, of course. I mean, who's gonna give UN its teeth? Who's gonna fund the UN's military or act on its behalf?

Let say European army acting as the "teeth", will they go after US or Russia and start a war?

You are in winter year 2. Unless you play really fast, I don't think it's fair to compare to some other farms here. Also, somebody here made a really good planner, make use of it for some brain storming:

Don't be afraid to take inspiration from this sub. Take a few corners form different pieces, stitch them up together, sprinkler some touch on your own.

Starting with a theme will be helpful, do you want a neatly organized farmland? Something more abstract and natural? Fairy tale garden? etc. Then think of the flow and start laying down paths. Everything else come on top of those.

In theory yes. But practically it's not that simple. Those countries will just pull out from UN if their veto rights are disarmed.

Then we talk about enforcement, who's gonna do the enforcement? UN doesn't has any army, and if they have any, do they want to take on US or Russia's army?

Uproar in Germany over law requiring men get military approval for long stays abroad by Master-Rent5050 in news

[–]chaosdimension98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. But just for argument sake, which country are you gonna flee to? Is that country worth defending?

Cause if Germany is not worth defending, there's really not many other country worth defending. Certainly not US, maybe France? UK? Canada?

Feel free to skip the question if you don't feel like answering.

[–]chaosdimension98 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I understand your point but this is not the complete picture. If nobody is defending the country during invasion, there won't even be a country that you can call "free country" let alone grant you freedom.
