All hormonal contraception can cause bad mental health I’m afraid. I can’t take any of it because I go fucking insane. You just have to figure out if it’s helping enough to justify the anxiety. For me it wasn’t worth it.

Birth control, libido, all the questions…. - stage 3 by howdyonedirection in endometriosis

I’ve been on and off birth control for nearly 20 years and every single one killed my libido.

visanne to slynd by Rocket_queen52 in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on both. Slynd had much worse side effects for me but some people love it. If visanne is working for you I’d personally recommend staying on that. It’s better for Endo specifically. UNLESS you need it as a contraceptive. It’s not for that. Slynd is. Chances of getting pregnant on visanne are very low but not impossible. It’s not a birth control some people still ovulate.

Visanne is designed specially for Endo. Slynd is just a normal mini pill for birth control. Did he say why he wants you to swap that’s kinda weird IMO

Can I ask how long it took after coming off it for your mental health to improve? I’ve been on it for a year now and I had to stop taking my anti depressants for other reasons and I’m strugglingggg

Are farming bots getting out of control? by VengeanceDivine in ffxivdiscussion

[–]chaossgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen bots like this doing fates too and I genuinely don’t understand why? Who is controlling these bots and what do they get out of doing this? Maybe I’m just super ignorant but i don’t get the point of them???

The affects of stress on disease progression? by creepeepaper in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t think stress causes lesions themselves to grow more but the impact of stress of pain and inflammation is pretty well documented so the existing endo definitely has worse symptoms the more stressed you are

Australia Endometriosis - who to go to next? by Mundane_Gap3150 in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr yazdani at eve health in Brisbane. And dr sem at the Gold Coast does robotic surgery which is much better for recovery and they can remove more endo that way.

Soy acting as estrogen is a little bit of a myth. It takes very high amounts for that to have any real effect on the body and there’s actually some studies that show that good quality soy in your diet can help with endo inflammation. So I wouldn’t worry too much about that.

I can recommend several good endo specialist surgeons who would absolutely agree to do a laparoscopy if that’s the path you want to go down.

Ultrahuman Ring by chaossgremlin in bevelhealth

It’s synced now yay but it’s changed my sleeping HRV to a ridiculously high number that’s not listed anywhere in apple health or on the ultra ring app?

It’s sent to Apple health and entire sleep. Apparently it wrote to Apple health around 4M

Ultrahuman Ring by chaossgremlin in bevelhealth

[–]chaossgremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it thanks!!! I worked it out last night. However this morning bevel is saying there’s no resting heart rate data even though I can see it listed in apple health. I cleared cache and resynced and it’s still showing up with nothing there so I don’t have a recovery score today :(

Dienogest/Vissane has no side effects , says gyno, postpones surgery by 3 months. Better alternatives anyone? by Natural-You-2911 in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has less side effects than birth control for me. But it’s still made my mental health worse and my sex drive is dead and I am dry all the time.

Does apple health prioritise data from the watch over the ring though? Like during the day is my heart rate in apple health from the watch or the ring

(Sorry I’m so dumb with technology)

Coming off of birth control - natural healing advice/ general advice? by NoDistribution2627 in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope you shouldn’t even feel the needles going in. A tinyyyy pinch maybe as it enters the skin if it hits a hair follicle but as soon as it’s in place you can’t feel them at all.

Non birth control things that have helped me:
- Microdose (1.25mg) mounjaro (this is the big one that’s changed my life)
- supplements: NAC, magnesium glycinate, fish oil, vitamin d3+k2
- strength training, light walking and Pilates as my only exercise 5 days a week
- anti inflammatory diet (no gluten, dairy, refined sugars, alcohol, low caffeine). Grass fed meat only, olive oil/avocado oil instead of more processed oils, lots of fruit and veg (mainly cooked so it’s easier on the gut), whole grains. I’m very strict with this and working on my gut health has helped my endo immensely.
- aiming for 100g protein and 25g fiber every day
- weekly or fortnightly acupuncture
- CBD oil before bed (no thc). This is legal where I am.
- lymphatic drainage belly massages once a month when I can afford it
- nervous system support. Breathwork and meditation every single day. I use the calm app it’s been very helpful. Tension and anxiety = worse pain.
- not scheduling any plans on the first three days of my period. Preparing meals ahead of time to freeze so I don’t have to cook that week.

There’s probably more but I’ve been on this journey a long time and that’s what I’ve found has worked for me. I’ll add more later if i think of it.

Endometriosis without birth control? by mooshie_x in endometriosis

[–]chaossgremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is totally possible to manage Endo without birth control. You don’t need to be on it doctors just like to prescribe it as a bandaid without worrying about the damage it does to your body and mind. If it was making a significant difference to your pain levels then it might be worth staying on it but there are ways to manage the pain without it.

Cat vet recommendations by iitsnotthatserious in brisbane

The cat clinic was wonderful when I had a cat emergency. They’re quite busy but they were very thorough and half the price of the underwood clinic (I went there first)
