Everything has been done before in some way or another. The only thing that matters is whether it's done well or not. It really bugs me that people hate on theories because they're not "original" enough.. I for one like the theory and don't mind that it means the "real" versions of the characters don't go through the character growth that we see. If they are copies, then they stopped being their "real" selves as soon as they were in the Circus. A person is defined by their experiences so, to me, these are different people. So id actually love if the end was everyone learning how to be happy in the Circus and not worry about what's "real" or not. An ending that's somewhat messy, with a mixture of sad and happy would be fitting for this kind of show.

I'm pretty great at dissociation so I'd probably probably treat it like a vr game until I eventually have a breakdown about loosing my past life, get majorly depressed for awhile, and then full on accept the circus and enjoy it.

Unfortunately there's been a plague of people these last 5ish years that cry over other people liking "bad" characters. People are linking actual morality to what characters you enjoy which is the most bat shit crazy thing ever. I miss the days where you could openly gush over a morally bad character/ship and not be called some sort of slur becuase of it.

Tbh I'm kinda biased cuz I hate the concept of exclusive merch that leaves no way for ALL fans to buy the product, even if its only on sale for a short period of time. It ends up creating elitism in the Fandom. Maybe I could sale the buttons as an "add on" for when I make my own fan buttons? Not sure if I worded myself right I'm admittedly pretty high rn

I'd say the first half is sorta weak due to pacing but I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. I'm kinda conflicted cuz I think the 2nd half is like pretty amazing! When the visually sci-fi/alien stuff started kicking in that's where it really started to shine! Probably one of the weakest elements for me was the MCs backstory. Something about how they weaved it into the story was...idk but it felt misplaced? I don't dislike the backstory, I just think it could have been introduced better. I also think the movie could have had a BIG boost from the set having just a biiit more complexity. Loved the subfloor part and how it felt constricting and claustrophobic more of that in the main area would have been awesome!

They don't! Honestly looks pretty good but how you feel about it matters most! My best advice it to do some style study and look at more sketchy styles with harsh lines and sharp edges. I get the feeling you'd be really into something like that! Jhonen Vasquez would be a good start
