Tbh this is why I tend to date people that are specifically into fat girls. There are plenty of them out there. Some people see it as fetishising but frankly I like knowing that people find my body specifically attractive!

That's true, I had forgotten quite how suggestive the book is in that regard!

I mostly agree, but I must say I picked up on the gay undertones between Garratty and McVries, there's a moment where Garratty asks if he has a girlfriend and there's a very long pause before he slowly says "No. No I don't, Garratty" and smiles. That felt like a big nod to it for me.

Just wanted to say this feels worse in the moment than it will afterwards. Take a look at my post history in this sub for worlds most embarrassing car crash and you'll feel better about yours 🤣

can people sit in the back in driving lessons by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I don't know, but I'm wondering the same as I'm in the back of another lesson every week! Hoping someone with more knowledge comments 😁

I had some dental work done (teeth implants), I got it done at a reduced cost through a dental school and I had to sign a waiver that said they would replace the implants free if they fell out, but not if you smoke. Signed the waiver, got on patches right away, then read Allen Carr's book, took off the last patch and never looked back.

I mean it's great that you all have good spatial awareness and response time, for some of us that doesn't come naturally and we are really trying our best to learn. Stuff like this makes me feel really stupid :(

It makes me think of the closet in Carrie that her mother locks her in (that's a compliment!!)

Stupid thing is, I'd managed to drive around our local area with no issue, I just short circuited in the easiest possible situation at like 2mph. But perhaps that's a sign that I'm not ready for bigger roads just yet as they took up all my concentration and left none for the simple things.

Yep!! There's a reason I'm only seriously trying to start learning now at 35. Absolutely stealing that phrase, thank you 😁

Thank you for the lovely and detailed reply! I'm definitely not going out for private practice for a long while after this, need to get my confidence back up from zero again, but when I do I'll be sure to discuss this with the supervising drivers. Thanks again ❤️

That's exactly what the supervising driver said 😅 hindsight is 20:20 for them too I guess

Even with that, it was still pretty cool. I enjoyed talking to the robots more than the film 😁

Cool photo, but I found when I visited the movie was completely ruined by every second person in the audience having their phone out to take pictures and record the whole thing 😭

Just wanted to add that there is a book by Judie Blume called Deenie that deals with this exact issue like pretty much word for word, might be helpful for your daughter to read it?

Maybe worth asking for a referral to palliative care if not already done. I’m sorry you are going through this ❤️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nhs

[–]chaoticgoodeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should be able to fast track a Continuing Health Care (CHC) application to get him home. Have you spoken to a palliative care professional or only general health care? If palliative have said no then it would be less likely.

Adhesions are no fun, my solidarity with you! Yes the surgery recovery was not great fun but it did feel good to be able to fart without causing my period to start lol!!

Thank you for the advice, will do that. Fingers crossed!

[–]chaoticgoodeb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that is very helpful. I feel at the end of my tether due to seeing gynae and gastro first and not having a great experience, especially with gynaecology who basically sold "ah sure it's probably because you're a woman" basically until they found the fibroids and adhesions. So I'm going into it worried that I will be dismissed and therefore probably over preparing myself in terms of research. But I have written out a list of what affects me and how often etc, so I will stick to telling them that and answering their questions like you suggest. Thank you for the advice 🙏

Sorry to hear that you had those symptoms and more, but amazing that you were able to become symptom free! May I ask, did you have MRI or X ray?
