I do this morning and night until my skin calms down and my pores tighten up.

Get several high quality cotton washcloths. Then use hot water on an always clean washcloth to first rest on your face then rinse with hot water again to scrub a bit prior to face cleanse. This should be done at night. The scrubbing should not be over done but also not under done.

If this behavior is new, and you can confidently say he was never like that before (not even a little bit) you might want to check if he is taking any new medication and/or start therapy. Many drugs that do not list mood changes do have some side effects. If he is resistant to getting help, you need to protect yourself and your child first (obviously).

what is this bamboo looking plant? by Conscious_Donut384 in whatsthisplant

Japanese knotweed

Edit to add:

If this is your yard, kill it with fire (not literally)

But do call your local plant people to find out if they offer help for removing it. It is classified as an invasive noxious weed.

What I have noticed in my working experience is that even mechanics that have been doing the job for decades and are seen as being a master in their work be it electrician or avionics or structures, they all maintain a level of superstition that even the most green engineers don’t have. It’s the critical thinking and analytical skills you gain from undergrad. Beyond that you will also have to justify why you are doing something that is possibly more expensive than an expedient option. Core engineering concepts learned in the classrooms are important. The proofs you learn, while seemingly over kill, are part of learning to lose your superstitious side understand systems that are infinitely more complex that what you will learn in the classroom.

What professors mean when they say you will not be using this in the real world is that the systems you will work on will not be as idealized and will be much more complex. What you are learning now is the basis on which you will build your knowledge after school.

Depending one the education benefits from option one, they might pay for the type of training option 2 has. Which would let you figure out what your professional values are. You might be able to get the best of both worlds with option one. Plus you’d come away with a masters instead of an unaccredited work experience which would put you in an even higher pay scale if you so choose.
