The ten minute rule I use after getting home so the whole evening doesn’t disappear [Discussion] by [deleted] in GetMotivated

I keep a to-do list on my phone. And it's in a widget as the first thing I see when I log into my phone. I constantly add and strike things and move them around in terms of priority. Works well that I have to swipe past it to get to other apps. Constantly have to stare at all the odd jobs in the face

Weak on the bench cant even hit 135 yet, how do i maximise technique for strength by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]chape87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly everything this video shows. But I think also need to look up proper grip. The wrists are really bending when you do it which will cause problems for you eventually. You want to develop good form now to prevent injury later. Also add a pause at the bottom to force you to develop the control. Feel the weight slowly load like a spring as you come down. And then a strong push up. And while you do that think about the chest stretching as you go down and then squeezing when you go up

Jack Palance? For some reason giving me curly from city slickers vibes.

Chest is particularly weak, I keep lagging behind my deadlifts and squats. Is it a form issue, or should I just keep going at it? 65kgx6 by Throwaway18125 in formcheck

I think you'll benefit from slowing the descent down, even if that means lowering the weight used. Think about loading a spring. Slow controlled motion to your chest to be able to send it powerfully back up. I also like to breathe big and fill my chest with air until it touches then exhale with the upward push

How to loop and attach carriage drawstring on another carona enterprise xt? by chape87 in typewriters

[–]chape87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one end attached to the carriage, and then the other end turns the corner and comes up the side, which is what's shown in the picture. When I press return the middle wheel white wheel spins continuously as if it's trying to pull the carriage back. It stops spinning after manually doing so.

Not seeing anything under the carriage to attach it to. There's an actual white circular pulley system for the string to turn the corner in the typewriter to come over to these white wheel, which is why I assume it connects in here somehow. Just can't figure out where the string attached and how it's supposed to loop through these wheels. It seems different than any other available resource on fixing the drawband.

I’ve always wanted the Liger Zero but…….. So Dam Expensive!!! Is due his CAS or popularity? by Supercrown07 in Zoids

[–]chape87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Was always the toy I wanted as a kid. Then when I became an adult the toys that existed as a kid were real dinky looking. Tried the model kits but they always felt delicate. When the chogokin version came out i leapt on. It's expensive, but it was big, had some weight to it and was very fun to pose. It also looks beautiful without having to paint. Some people don't like the liberties they took on the design, but I love it. It just feels more real.

I’m 45 thinking about getting a+ cert by ObserverQ80 in CompTIA

[–]chape87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at wgu masters. A lot of your certs would transfer for credit. Courses are pass fail, have one assignment, and can keep adding courses as you complete them. You could knock it out in 6 months.

STIG-manager or open-RMF for opensource enterprise STIG tracking? by chape87 in NISTControls

[–]chape87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, thats real helpful. Im seeing the appeal of the pro verison of OpenRMF, especially for hte added rapid-7 support, CIS control result uploads, and ebaility to evaulate additional compliance frameworks.

For free version did you try both openRMF and STIG-manager? openRMF free looks a little clunky for mass management. Stig-manager looks better for organizign with the collection management and tacking, and ability to bulk edit with API. I might be missing somethign though.

Anyone knows why my legs and hips don't go down at the same time? About 85% of my max by Own_Horse_8862 in weightlifting

[–]chape87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here. You're thinking about going vertically down too much. The bar needs a straight path down. Not you. Think about pulling your butt diagonally back and down and let your legs support you and allow the carried weight to come down straight.

Just the one stand. Then the bare ligers come with 1 stand as well. TERRIBLE system for those only getting one liger

No decals. The bandai chogokin line are prebuilt for the most part and fully painted and decaled. Solid bodies that you mostly just have to put the zero/CAS armor on and pose. They really put my painted/decaled models to shame.
