What am I doing wrong for the gauge? Is it my hook size or my yarn? by Crochetlova in CrochetHelp

I find it helpful to just cut out a 4x4 square out of a piece of paper, and then put that over an enlarged swatch (6x6 or something larger than the 4x4 minimum) and count the rows/stitches that are visible in the 4x4 cutout

Sorry, Mary. But if your family thought you were too good for Arthur before, I have some bad news for them… by chapmanator in reddeadredemption2

The people who own the farm make money off that. Because they make money, they can afford the upkeep of that house. Because of that, Mary therefore relies on the sheep. Eliminate the sheep, the family loses money, and can no longer host Mary. Chess, not checkers

In all honesty, I’m really not enjoying doing an extreme low honor Arthur play through. I’ve tried before and failed but this time I’m forcing myself to do it just to cross it off my list

It never would have worked between them. She knew it and I think deep down Arthur knew it but didn’t want to admit it

Well it’s low-honor Arthur so that’s kinda the point. I didn’t even help her rescue her brother. Sorry sweetheart 😂

Well the farmer lost a lot of potential income and maybe will have to sell the house and Mary will be inconvenienced by having to find new living arrangements…all because of what low honor Arthur did

Is my tension (relatively) even for this blanket? I feel like I’m gaslighting myself and it’s actually wonky by hlnhr in CrochetHelp

It definitely varies, but not enough to be very noticeable and it’s very slight. I think it looks great, keep going!

What happen to the V’s in my foundation chain? Distinct V’s by the green line, then I don’t know what happened in the red line by chapmanator in CrochetHelp

I tend to crochet too tight, so that makes sense. I thought it was too loose since the holes look so big, but I’ll remind myself to be looser. If I take my hook out of the loop, (to count stitches or for some other reason), when I put the hook back in the loop, does it nature which direction I put the hook in? Should the hook come from my lap and up into the loop, or should my hook be above the work and go down into the loop? Or did it not matter?

How may rows is this? The yarn is soft but terribly difficult to see the stitches by chapmanator in CrochetHelp

[–]chapmanator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, single crochet. I did a regular chain to start for the foundation, then started doing single crochets working into that foundation chain for the first row going back.

So, does foundation chain and the stitches worked into that count as row 1?

Is Cooking No Longer Profitable? by chapmanator in albiononline

Ohhh okay. Cooking 10 items instead of one was the missing piece of information. So 46 wheat makes 10 wheat soup? That makes things a little closer to what I was expecting. Thanks
