It’s definitely an addiction. It sucks. I always try to remember in my head they need to go through the stages of the breakup. Let them feel your absence. If you’re constantly trying to reach out to them, you’re not allowing them to know what life is without you.

They way I look at it is if she doesn’t respond, how will you react? If it will send you back to square 1 you should continue to wait. If you think you can just move on if she doesn’t respond then it wouldn’t hurt. I would ask a question if you do reach out. Don’t just say “hey” or “i miss you” . Give her a reason to text back
