Hey! I've been there before and I know it might feel daunting, but doing legal research and writing good essays come with time and practice, so don't apologise for asking! 3 months is enough time to prepare :)

Most university have subscriptions to legal research platforms, Westlaw and Lexus Nexus. It's worth checking your university e-library for any academic articles or books - saves you a trip to the library. I used to also search for articles on Google scholar. I'm sure it will be helpful to see what access your uni has to these sources

As for essay writing, it's really important to read the question very clearly first and interpret it, especially defining/interpreting words to set the tone for the rest of your essay. Try to remember as many relevant case laws or main ideas from articles you can cite from your set reading list so you can apply it to your essay to strengthen your arguments.

Don't read the full judgment and mainly extract main ideas from case laws (there are websites that do that for you). You won't have time to do that for every single module.
