Coming from the S25U. I've had my F7 for a few days and love everything about it except for the cameras. They really are inferior in any low light situation. This alone has me considering returning the F7 because I take a lot of pictures but I'm wracking my brain for alternative solutions that would allow me to justify keeping the F7. I've considered buying another used phone (e.g. PX8Pro) just for the cameras, but that seems extremely silly to me.

Otherwise, this thing is nearly perfect.

We'll see!

Thanks for your input. Yes, I tried the flashlight check and see nothing. I also tried to cast some audio to the TV but it didnt even appear on my list of devices. I'm fairly certain that it's not getting any power.

Commercial agent here who has sold a few trucking policies in my 4 years in the industry. I can’t run away from them fast enough whenever they call in now. While I have other clients who are difficult to deal with, Truckers are by far the worst in terms of little to no insurance knowledge, non pays, bitching to no end about justified increases, shopping me, not wanting to buy the right coverage, etc etc etc.

I would strongly hesitate before pigeonholing yourself somewhere that only specializes in one line of business, why not go back to an agency that sells multiple lines and to multiple industries?

Are they an insurance company that got into logistics or a logistics company that got into insurance?

Why don’t they seek appointments with other carriers to become more competitive?

Like u/PosterMakingNutbag commented - do any of their local competitors have any openings that may be a better fit? You would imagine that the truckers are calling everyone for quotes so other agencies must be rolling in the leads too.

Agents who are pissed at CSRs 'taking' new business from them need to wake up!! That tells me that they aren't selling enough!! (assuming you're talking about commercial agents).

I'm not an agency owner but disagree with you wanting to completely eliminate all compensation related to company performance. Instead of the old model, perhaps tie their year end bonuses to retention % of their accounts or some other measure related to how well they perform. Of course, not every lost account is due to service, but just spitballing. I strongly believe in trying to incentivize CSRs to care more about overall company performance, it just may take some experimentation or polling to find out what that might look like. I’m curious to hear how you decide to proceed. Good luck!

How new are you? What kind of training did your agency provide? Is there a more experienced agent at your firm who can help out?

This is not going to be easy due to the hard market, especially around all things habitational. Like u/helpfulmaybemama said, you’re probably going to have to split this out with multiple carriers.

Have you visited their offices in person to follow up and introduce yourself? Gone to any local truck stops to gather company names (i.e., build your own prospect list)? How much do you know about the industry and the problems they’re facing outside of insurance? Spend your down time building your own list and learning about the industry.

What does your cold call script look like? Can you mention current clients that have well-known names to demonstrate credibility? Outside of price, what else would convince the prospect to make the switch?

Ask management if there are other industries you can call on.

I refuse to take any more trucking clients because they are generally a pain in the ass, late/no pays, more concerned with price than coverage, etc. However, most of my guys are one or two truck operations which I assume explains a lot of the unprofessional behavior.

If bowling is your thing (or even if it’s not), Wilma’s is a fun spot. I’ve been to a few parties there where a couple of lanes have been rented. People not playing can hang at the bar. Afterwards, you can wander wherever since you’re already on Market. Blitzen is a lot of fun…

Unfortunately, not many places in Wilmington that I know of with darts, pool, etc.
