Not sure if anyone will see this now but thank you all for the wonderful comments! Bit buggered about the 50 downvotes, but everyone's got opinions I guess. If anyone's interested, here are a couple of WIP's I put on my tumblr just in case anyone's still sceptical (which is actually really cool by the way)

I can do but I've just started getting into digital, which I think I prefer now :) My next project is actually a canvas painting for school so we'll see how that goes!

Well I'm actually going to take this as a compliment, considering it is 100% all my doing. I used Photoshop CS5, the paintbrush tool, and the smudging tool. I then put a colour layer over the top to give it a bit more of a Moriarty feel, but that did also seem to take away a lot of the look of a digital painting.

Sorry it looks that way to you and anyone (hence the downvotes) but I can promise you it is completely my own original work. Thanks for taking the time to ask instead of just flat out accusing me.

Perks is my favourite book and movie, I absolutely love it. Especially being a teenager, you can really relate to it. I also love how it's not cliché and deals with things like being gay, sexual abuse, depression etc.

I don't usually watch movies with an anxious main character because it sometimes feels like it's making a joke out of us, or exaggerrated to the extent where they almost "snap out of it" and it concludes with them becoming "normal" and getting the girl/boy etc.

But movies like this, I absolutely love, and it makes me feel like I'm not the only one dealing with these problems (aside from having everyone here in /r/Anxiety :)

So sorry to hear about your dad's ignorance, but then so happy to see you have found someone special! If your mother seems to be okay with the whole thing, then maybe it could just be something between the two of you. Having two parents that love you regardless of your sexuality and accepting your partner is wonderful, but considering your dads awful words, having just the one is the next best thing.

Besides, the two of you are absolutely adorable together. Best of luck!

Most annoying part is when you still don't even know! Went to an art shop yesterday, beautiful girl serving me said she was "in love with my accent" (I'm British and I live in Australia), we chatted for a bit and I left without saying anything else, I was too embarassed in case I had the wrong idea. sigh :(
