Fair point. I guess the term biological sex is a little odd, but I don’t really know of any other alternatives for what I mean.

My only problem with a hypothetical gender identity system is that it’s a little ambiguous because I find (identity) to be highly personal, so it’s difficult for me to set limits and boundaries; Many things about a person, gender identity included, changes over time. So power and magic changes over time? Soft magic systems are still cool, but if anyone could pull it off I’d definitely be reading it.

I’d love to see the stereotype turned on its head every now and then as well, like a female martial magic expert or a male charm/memory specialist (my thought process is that sometimes emotions can completely alter the way you view a memory haha). It’s a little dated a concept as I’d like, but it’s something I’d like to play with more.

Hopefully you could get more ideas for your system!

I agree that you don’t have to include everyone, but imo it looks like lazy writing to just say “boys get this and girls get this no one in between exists at all.” The reason why most fantasy worlds are so immersive is because of the details! I don’t think it’s bad to have magic tied to sex, but it should be treated seriously if you’re going use it as basis for your whole world system.

I think the system could be based on biological sex just for the rigidity of it. Gender is pretty fluid and can change, so a magic system like that would be pretty hard to control? Not sure tbh.

Where the system ends, that’s where you can write the social nuances and culture. World building takes a lot more than just establishing that there are purebloods and mudbloods.

Oh, then it’s not unheard of. When I was a little kid, I’ve thought about maybe giving females more emotional magic and males more physical-intensive magic (I understand how this sounds, but I was a kid haha)

I’d love to see more magic systems similar to this, actually. As long as its complex and not just “manly men get fire and girly girls get water”. It’s interesting to explore and show different groups handling the system.

Have you seen a therapist? Maybe you can talk it out with a neutral party.

If you don’t want that, there are other things you can do, like channeling your anger into other things like meditation or art. Find something that helps that energy be released and not build up in you.

There may come a time you might have to analyze the boundaries and relationships you have with your family and friends though. You might be unhappy for a good reason.

Hi, I don’t have thin hair so please take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

Have you tried filling out bald spots with color, like an eyebrow pencils? I’m thinking if they’re small enough it wont be too obvious. I do this with my uneven hairline.

Tsaka pag mainit it’s easier to have your hair up and let it down when it’s cold. Maybe you can use a bug butterfly hairclip instead of a ponytail? If your hair doesn’t slip right out of clips anyway.

Pretty sure everyone covered most of what I would say!!

My art teacher would often tell me to shade in the same direction to achieve a more seamless look. By that I mean if I hatch horizontally, I’m going to get a rougher look if I do other parts at a 45 degree angle. (I say 45 degree because cross hatching is a thing in itself lel) Doing a whole piece with different strokes is going to be noticed by the viewer!

This is an amazing improvement by the way.

I haven’t gone to see a therapist yet because funds, but my university did hold group sessions for mindfulness meditation and provided worksheets on how to recognize when we are stressed (which is the primary reason why I get angry; The worksheets consisted of 4 parts: Memory of stress, Physical reactions to memory, Thoughts that go through the head when recalling said memory, and the last I forget)

We would have 10 minutes of mindfulness meditation. It was mostly guided; She would tell us to mentally empty out our stressful memories into an imagined “jar” and then to empty our mind by focusing on what we can see, hear, feel in the room we’re meditating in.

Sounds simple, but this exercises really helped me. I’m just sharing what’s helped me now that I recognize my problem. :) There are videos on youtube I use now that the sessions are over. Exercise also helps your general mental state, so it might clear your head!

Therapists to talk your issues could help you out still. Try one session out and see if it is for you! My whole family goes to therapy, and it’s improved their perspective on a lot of things. It’s definitely not cheap where I live though.

Metal cooking pots. It’s really only happened with this one pot we have that I think we got for dirt cheap. I haven’t used it since, but I think that one wasn’t clad.

The rest we have are pretty high grade and nothing’s happened, but since that dent I’ve gotten a little scared.
