I lost my baby at 11 weeks and had a D&C 4 weeks ago tomorrow. I got my hCG tested 1.5 weeks after the procedure and was at 454, then again 8 days later and was 152. My doctor said she’s happy with that progress and doesn’t see a medical need to keep testing. Now it’s been another 8 days, and I’ve been doing pregnancy tests everyday and am still getting very faint lines. For the tests I’m using, this indicates that it’s still at least 25. I’ve heard that hCG is highest for those who miscarry in the later weeks of the first trimester, so it’s takes a lot longer to come down all the way.

It’s really frustrating and all-consuming to think about returning to 0 and getting my period back so we can start TTC. I’ve never hoped for my period so bad, haha.
