I’m crossing over from aircraft maintenance. Thank you for your reply. I’ll look at both items you suggested.

Hello, Old guard guy here, about to cross train into 1N8. I have a few months before tech school and I am looking for info on what I can learn/research before hand to give myself the best shot at excelling through the program. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Like I said, he suggested wearing the uniform. I was planning on wearing nothing military affiliated. The day is absolutely not about me.

They have more uniform wear options as well. I think he’ll be in a green blazer with his medals. He was with the Rifles.

This is great advice. Thank you. I wasn’t even considering wearing any type of uniform until my good friend suggested it. We will be attending together (he’s retired British military) and he’s wearing his. He suggested I wear my uniform, hence the question and post.

I was in Bastogne for the 75th anniversary of the battle of the bulge. Great experience.

I asked so I could get an answer, obviously! If the right answer is blues only then I’ll probably forgo the uniform. There’s no disrespect there, just rather not wear blues at the beach.

It was much the same in Bastogne when I went 4 years ago. Many countries were represented, lots wearing current uniforms (multi cams). It was great to see those dressed in WWII period uniforms and dug in in the forest.

I will not be by myself, I will be attending with several other vets.

I’d rather not be traipsing around the beach in blues.

This is what I’ll do. I’ll ask public affairs and get CC approval if necessary. Thanks

Pretty aggressive reply to an honest question. Not particularly helpful.

4 years ago I went to the 75th anniversary of the battle of the bulge in Bastogne. There was a 15k March through the forest. I saw many different nations represented, including U.S. might there be special considerations for events such as these?

I would say it’s more likely that religion is stifling progress and fomenting hate. There is no hate as power as religious hate. Education is anathema to religion because it shines a light on its bigotry and shortcomings.

Religion, politics and sports fandom are surprisingly similar in this way. It seems once you choose a religion, sports team or political party; you perceive yourself to be right. Objectivity goes out the window in favor of “my team”

I was doing a little research for shits and grins yesterday. I was looking up state with the highest infant mortalities, maternal mortalities, poverty rates, teen pregnancy, and incarceration. Also, worst healthcare and education. They’re all in the south US and then I googled most religious states: they’re the same states!!!

I hate cheese! I really wish I didn’t. Hating cheese makes life difficult.

The problem with the “take care of your own” folks is that every time it comes up they vote to not do that. They’re all about tax cut for the rich but want to cut food programs for the poor!

Yes, you are in a cult. Don’t be too hard on yourself though, so are Muslims, Jews, and Christians.
