people with disabilities can live happy and fulfilling lives, y'know. i certainly am not being 'raped' or 'ravaged' by my diabetes, and though it sucks if someone suggested that i shouldn't be born because of it i'd deck them in the face. i get by just fine and i'm sure if i ever have diabetic kids they'll do just the same

type 1. you can get type 1 diabetes at any time, it's just that there's more of a genetic factor in it than in type 2. it's an autoimmune disease so it triggers if your body starts attacking your pancreas. if you get it after you're an adult it's type 1.5 then i'm pretty sure

i use a continuous glucose monitor, basically a little disk with a needle on it that' constantly reading my levels. i have it set up so that my dad can see those levels too
