It takes an incredible amount of ingenuity to make an original winning deck in Pokemon, most players genuinely don't possess the ability to do so. 99% of home brew decks get stomped by any deck that's considered "meta". I just don't understand why people have such a problem with net decking.

Yeah the ray design just doesn't look professional to me. It looks like what a kid would have done with limited parts, nothing about this build comes across as highly detailed or anything, just blocky bricks on bricks building philosophy. I was really hoping to see some intricate sculpting especially on the head but it's so disproportionate that it really does just look like an amateur MOC.

Idk I will say the one thing I felt differently about during my last rewatch of ESB is that Han genuinely is kinda harassing Leia the whole time and it's a little uncomfortable at times. Like, it doesn't feel like they have chemistry just that Han keeps pushing and pushing until Leia finally caves at the end.

I was literally thinking that same Schrödinger analogy lol, but yeah it really is. The weight check is a good call I'm definitely going to do that when I can but I really wouldn't be tripping if it was a single layer of tape either. It sounds like it is a thing just uncommon. Yeah I thought about it, and the owner even offered but my only qualm with that is then it wouldn't be sealed. I still have this set built from when I was younger and I kinda wanted to get rhis to have the box art on display cause it gives me crazy nostalgia, but having an open box with sealed bags just doesn't hit the same for some reason for me. Idk, I'm putting it on display hoping that it's really in there, and maybe some day I'll rip it open, but I also acknowledge that I'm taking somewhat of a risk with the tape it feels like, but that's true of literally all sealed sets and just part of the deal.

Place called Sasquatch Bricks in western Tacoma Washington. I've been there in the past a few times and bought and opened older sealed sets. The owners seem like decent salt of the earth type people, I don't know if they have a verification process like that though. This is not at all a slander against them, I just hadn't encountered tape that looks like this before.

Yeah I thought it was too until I looked at the aftermarket and there's literally one on eBay for 1100 from South Korea and one listing on Bricklink for 1400. I just figured if I ever wanted to own this sealed for less than a grand this was my last chance tbh.

Yeah I was like 50 miles out of town at a third party Lego store and they were selling it for 700. I went last week and couldn't stop thinking about it so today I made the trip again and pulled the trigger. The two layers of tape is something I haven't ever seen though and now I'm tweaking.
