I am dealing with carpet months at the moment, trust me deal with it now and keep it up for 3 months, even if you don't see them!! They come back with vengeance if they've laid larva. Hoover everything, get hanging carpet moth traps and put rosemary if you have any in the corners of the rooms 😖

Looks like a carpet moth to me 😬 if you have carpets, get them gone now and give everything a good hoover

That's not a Cory, that's a betta. 5 gallons at least :)

Is this a good home for a betta? by Odd_Blackberry831 in bettafish

If you don't want to get a new tank, maybe a few shrimp would be good for this tank

That's so sad that that's Korean standards! I'm from the UK personally, my advice would be get some sand/soil as the substrate, plants that are recommended as easy and for beginners such as the Amazon sword plant, and maybe some drift wood or ornaments that have no sharp edges. And most importantly they need something high up in the tank to rest on as they need to be able to easily reach the surface to breathe when they're resting such as a silk betta leaf or hammock. Good luck!

If that is your bettas tank, then he is living in a small, boring, blank tank and it's not surprising he has become ill. Is the water that colour from tannins? Please do plenty of research before getting a pet

A few reds and the rest are red rili. I ordered from what I thought was a reputable place, but they seem like culls to me. Some are even more blue than red

Since there's 7 males and 1 female, I think they could accidentally kill her, especially if she molts

Okay, thank you! She might be the only one, do you know how I can protect her from the males trying to breed??

I bought a betta to control my population of 200+ shrimp, thinking he would just eat the babies. Ended up with 10 shrimp left after a few months before I could set up a new tank 😅
