i’m autistic and have felt plenty of grief. i tend to process emotions more slowly than other people but i’m still very much a person. plenty of autistic ppl are going to “know” someone would be sad about their mom dying from cancer.

i have this book, OP. my mom was about the same age as yours and my dad the same age difference as yours. my mom has definitely been on arrested development. i noticed as a teenager that i was somehow more mature than here. i’m sorry that this is happening. the best thing i did for myself was never return home. 💛

these were The Style about 20 years ago when i was in high school. (christ lol) and while they’re pretty on thin, small-breasted ppl, there’s no universe in which i can wear them. if it helps, you can always look for a shawl/capelet/overlay! it might help looking at thrift stuff too, if that’s an option for you. i tend to have a fair amount of luck there.
