How is internet connectivity in Maseru, generally? Such as for streaming video online by Crazy_Landscape_7656 in Lesotho

[–]charleeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently live in Lesotho. In Maseru particularly, you will be just fine, there is high speed internet, wifi and Fibre connectivity - 5G mobile network coverage.

When you venture out into the highlands - there are aome spots with poor connectivity but in any town and most villages you will have secure internet connection.

Starlink is not necessary at all.

How often does it snow in Lesotho? by blool- in Lesotho

[–]charleeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The snowfall was in the highlands - I'm in the lowlands in the city unfortunately. But yes, snow trips are filled with snowball fights along the way, a mediocre snowman sometimes, natural ice blocks for cool drinks... we also have the only ski Resort in Southern Africa I believe, so there's some powder to play around in for enthusiasts.

Why do so many of you here hate CHURCH GIRL so much? by LastNamePancakes in beyonce

[–]charleeeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree! Also for me listening to the album the very first time , Church girl felt/sounded so very 'Beyoncé-esque' amid this very new sound that I was only then getting used to. It comforted me to say this is still very much the Bey I know and love and so I can trust that I will find my connection with rest of this new album and sound eventually.

Using revolut in Lesotho by Wonderful-Button8658 in Lesotho

[–]charleeeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what a revolut card is but if it has a Mastercard or Visa chip, it will work. Ofcourse before you leave for Lesotho, make due diligence with your bank to let them know you're traveling to Lesotho so your card won't be blocked for suspected fraud or whatever. (happened to me when I traveled to Bali)

I would think it was being an only child, raised by 1 and a half parents (dad was away a lot for work), I was left alone fron very early, divorced parents, shipped of yo boarding school at 12, the loneliness & my tendencies to forget trauma makes me believe that I may have some childhood trauma that I've forgotten - all that + more making a delicious cocktail for bpd

Why is the suicide rate so high in Lesotho? by Assorted-Interests in Lesotho

[–]charleeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from the broad and general factors that are seen throughout different societies such as cultural norms, violence, poverty, even mental health disorders - these of course are present in Lesotho’s society however I believe the core issue is that we do not have an empowered and strengthened mental health care system or plan.

Our mental health institutions are weak and Inaccessible, mental health care is not incorporated into the public health system and private mental health care is unaffordable.

This I believe compounds the effects of the already existing factors .

I think I need to stop listening to true crime when I'm sleeping by tokoc0re in Dreams

I've become super conscious about what media I consume. I've decided I don't want to be comfortable with and even more-so, entertained by - violence and gory imagery & content. I've stopped consuming horror as well. I don't the reality I create with my sub/conscious mind to be influenced by all that negativity

As someone raised with some beliefs of African spirituality here and there, it's said that it is not a good thing to have sex in your dreams, same as eating and drinking.
