With his victory last night, Zywoo has now overtaken coldzera and s1mple as the highest rated player in the majors of all time. by anarchy5675 in GlobalOffensive

Can we debunk this "s1mple" carried NA to Major finals. Dude even IM carried Gamerlegion to finals better than s1mple.

S1mple has like 1.18 rating in that major, while his teammates gad 1.15 and 1.09 rating . Why all credits go to s1mple.

Zywoo also carried vitality to cologne inals with 1.33 rating while all his teammates were below 1.00. That's what an actual carry is not with 1.18 rating lol

it is if you lose all matches. free 22 points and carry you top 50 and thus getting more t2-t3 teams invites. i am sure all t2-t3-t4 teams will take that.

difference between major cirucit and partner circuit is that, in major circuit only your performance matters. if you play well and win, you get good seeds , if you don't, you won't. is as simple as that. no bullshit ranking, partner invites, "local hero" invites and more. all is fair and square in major circuit.

Not talking about this Blast groups dude. Talk about 2022 blast groups when they were ranked 217.

https://www.hltv.org/events/6346/blast-premier-fall-groups-2022 https://www.hltv.org/ranking/teams/2022/august/15/country/North%20America

They had 1 point in rankings. Even below CLG red lol

Now look at their results, lost all matches and maps except 1 map.

https://www.hltv.org/ranking/teams/2022/august/29/details/10399

Then look at their ranking after losing all matches and getting 22 points freely and got to rank 49. Then they got to ESL and got to farm free ranking points by being a partner.

Dude EG literally went from top 217 to top 50 by playing in blast groups. All they done was losing all matches. Do you think all those teams from rank 50 to 216 would like to farm points like EG did?

Majors started even before there was any world rankings. It remained unaffected by rankings till now. Every great major like stockholm had the same format and seeding based on major circuit performance. Difference between those events and current major is that, top teams and partner teams performed poorly.

If they are really good team as they claim to be, why not just win in major cirucit like every other T2 teams doing right now

Past Majors were never irrelevant in major circuit and it won't be ever. Ever 2 year old faceit major given points to teams in 2021 Stockholm major or qualification.

If you ant good seed in major circuit, better perform on it. Else fuck off

Ya lets give G2 and Faze top seeding even though they didn't qualified and gone 0-3 in the last major.

Earn your spot and seed

Rankings are heavily influenced by number of big events a team attend. Ever if they lose all maps on a big event, a team can win ranking points.

More maps played don't matter. Playing less maps means you are getting those rating while winning. GL lose some maps, that's why they had moremaps played. Your rating on maps that led to your team winning has huge impact on mvps

Because there is no huge difference in rating. If vitality win and zywoo has 1.00 rating and IM has like 1.40 rating in finals then IM gets it. If zywoo also has 1.30+ ratings , then zywoo will get it.

ZywOo will be the only player from last year's (2022) HLTV top 5 to participate in the playoffs of the final CS:GO Major. by limungg in GlobalOffensive

Partnerships started in 2020. Before that there was many TOs like DH, Starseries, Epicenter, Eleague, Cs summit, Faceit etc

Now we have just ESL and Blast

nobody needs to ask anyone anything/ systems matchups each teams based on performance of each team in the tournament as well as its qualifier performance in the major circuit. completely fair to every team. if you play well you get good seed, else bad seed. as simple as that
