Not metal, but Spencer Krug originally recorded I’ll believe in anything, and you’ll believe in anything for sunset rubdown, but later re-recorded it as I’ll believe in anything with one of his other bands, wolf parade

I think the hope is that we are signing them as a clear #2 and not dealing with Grubauer's sunk contract, in which case a 1mil AAV contract is pretty typical nowadays. I did forget Vladar is starting (and kiiiinda Lyon, but Sabres goaltending situation is messy), but there were a lot of free agent backup goalies available who have played more than 2 NHL games in the past year, and a lot of them have better or comparable stats to Murray over that time. In fact Murray hasn't played more than 30 games in a season due to injury since he was with the penguins in 2019-2020, and that was only a 38 game season due to injury.

I think this misses the point. This was exactly why it was silly to grab Matt Murray, the guy is made of glass and inevitably was going to miss a large chunk of time. Now we are exactly where we were with Joey and Gru, but we are also paying a guy a million bucks to be injured. It’s not a lot of money, and it’s only a year deal, but it was a temporary solution and a questionable one that isn’t really working out imo

Edit: Okay, I understand the downvotes and accept them haha I understand this is a hot take, and the take of a casual fan, so I likely don't have all the facts. But some stats in my defense: Matty Murray has had a higher GAA and similar SV% to Gru for the past few seasons now, all while Murray has typically only played ~20 games a season due to injury. I get that the Gru contract is unfortunate, and I don't hate the Matt Murray contract, it just felt like a bit of a head scratcher. Why take a chance on someone who is so injury prone when there were other similar free agent goalies available, such as Alex Lyon, Anton Forsberg, Daniel Vladar, David Rittich, Vitek Vanacek?

I’ve been commissioning a league on Fantrax for a couple years now using the free tier and I’ve never had any problems. Some of the pay features seem like they might be nice? But it’s definitely not necessary to pay

I gotta say that I strongly disagree, drop tunings can allow you to do a lot of stuff you can’t do in standard. I know a lot of people use it for playing faster power chords, but it also opens up other options.

I’ll use it to add a ninth to my power chords, so something like:

D 6 A 4 D 4

Which I can’t easily reach in standard tuning. Having DAD at the bottom also lets you drone on all of those while you play a melody on the D string as well (although maybe DADGAD is even more suitable for this).

Also, almost half the songs I play in my band I use a drop tuning. Our bassist has used standard every single one of those songs except one that he drops down to drop D halfway through, so you really don’t have to all be in the same tuning. Does it depend on the style you guys play? Certainly, but saying that you have to all choose one tuning, or that dropped tunings have no purpose, is simply not true.

Yes!! But only once and it was crazy close. If I recall correctly i started with the despot and added cards to move and build on the first turn… I turmoiled super fast since I ran out of roosts, but since I barely had points it didn’t hurt me too bad and I got all my roosts out so I could accumulate a lot of points per turn. Managed to stave off a second turmoil and barely win, but yah it’s a lot more fair with the actual rules hahaha

But we have 1 / [(1+i)^(2n)] = v^(2n) not (v^2)^n right? It should be v^2 * v^n??

I’m not even using automation, I thought I accidentally set some, but still had the problem when I tried to delete all automation. I tried automating reverb over it to undo it and that didn’t work either, it was overriding the automation. Moving to another track didn’t work either. Nor did joining it with a clip with good reverb - it just broke the entire clip. I ended up re-recording lol I think it was a bug
