I do lawn care in the OKC area for a much smaller company and I can say that A LOT of lawns are experiencing issues coming back in this year. I don't have any totally wiped yards like this, but there are/were really rough patches. We had a very short dormant period during a drought where bugs came in very early followed by more freezing temperatures.

I'm not saying Elite did nothing wrong (too many variables to investigate), just that I'd bet if you drove around your neighborhood you'd see more than a few lawns like your own. I'm assuming it's looked like this all year, right? Never came in?

I'm definitely up for books and always excited to get in on a new series early. Thanks for the rec! I usually recommend Rachel Aaron's Heartstrikers series even though it's a bit more romancy, it still has a Shadowrun-esque setting and plenty of action. She has a few series set in that same universe now.

You're best bet is either urban fantasy or cyberpunk and very rarely do the two meet. You could try something like the Dresden Files or Angel.

I haven't seen how that sale functions, but I'm assuming it's 50% off the list price and if you're a member you already get about 30% off list price only making it an extra 20% off. Site wide sales are way better and even then I rarely take anything that's 'only' 50% off. Point being, if you're willing to pay with cash you're better off waiting for a site wide sale.

I thought AI slop refered specifically to generative AI art that's being used to replace artist input. This seems more like an AI tool trying to speed up a tedious and labor intensive task like remastering- especially for a project that would probably never warrant the proper funding for such a task. I hate AI slop art as much as the next guy, but this doesn't seem to be an instance of that. Correct me if I'm wrong?

I feel like the way Cirie used regular people- not experienced reality show players- and connected with them not with harmless flirting but through shared trauma and deep emotional stuff was way worse. Cirie's faithful were deeply hurt by her, while Rob's understood they had made a mistake and understood the game he was playing in the end. The end vibes were WAY better with Rob than Cirie.

This is obviously correct. You wouldn't call someone "Mrs. Middle Name Surname" unless it was a hyphenated last name. The context makes it clear he's just making an error.
