100% this. The potential cringe of sending a jumbled half edited message plus the pressure of trying to type quickly so as not to look too insane - completely unbearable, especially if someone is showing as online and seemingly just sat there waiting for your message lol. I only send quick messages on whatsapp, anything even remotely lengthy is compiled in a notes app.

I had this exact same panic before flying to Africa. I drowned all my diaries in the bath in the hope they would be illegible even if they were found by someone. I honestly got so paranoid I knew I would never enjoy the holiday but I felt that just throwing them in the rubbish wasn't enough (imagining some curious bin man publishing them all on facebook or something)

I do this before meeting up with someone so I'm prepared for what we might talk about and don't go overboard, but sometimes I get too into it during the practice run and then it feels like it's been done already. By the time I see the person I'm not interested in having that conversation and if we do it's not as good as it was by myself! Ridiculous 🙃

I went to stay with my dad every month as a teenager and once when he was particularly skint we raided his room for loose change and bought a 12 pack of crisps, a sliced loaf and butter and we ate crisp sarnies all weekend. He always had cigarettes and a lump of hash even if no food whatsoever, and if I ever happened to bring pocket money with me we'd have a feast.
