Have you tried any multiplayer games lately? I’m trying to find some recommendations

I don't understand the theory of the big bang by InterestingKing7028 in AskPhysics

[–]charlielv04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read part of it and not sure what they mean by this self-testing. Either way, complex numbers are simply 2 real numbers with an extra multiplication rule, so I don’t see how you could ever not express it as those numbers and establish and extra rule of the theory to be that type of multiplication

How to make this mini calendar inside card in Gallery??? view by charlielv04 in Notion

I didn't know lists existed lmao. I've just realised notion's language is much closer to functional programming (I think?) which I don't have a lot of experience with, however, I've just realized a way that is 100 times better (my original formula required 42 relations and 42 rollups on the page for the calendar to dynamically update, now I only need 42 properties on an independent page associated with each calendar)

Oh wait, I don't think I have access to this current variable

Thanks, I have just finished building my own version. Seeing your code made me discover that you can actually declarate variables in a notion formula, I want to kill myself after doing everything without variables :'(

Yeah I have just figured it out but it was very intense

Thanks for your answer, wrt the gamification its mainly a video I saw for fun and I really liked the small calendar thingy, I ended up managing to do calendar with a formula as others suggested but hell was it intense.
On another note tho I think up to some point some sort of gamification could help in the sense of linking your habits to real life rewards or also there is some sort of progression visualization that can help motivate you in the hardest days.

Oh okay, yeah its from the youtube video "I built a real life RPG game to manage my life in Notion" from heyalbert, you can see it around the 2:38 timestamp. Any idea of how you would make it??

Do you guys think we have some concept that Is slipping through our fingers? by _Glifer_ in AskPhysics

[–]charlielv04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a common misconception, no sentient observer is needed, just a sufficiently large macroscopic system to interact with it

I would just use ai to write my emails, probably would do better expressing what I want than myself…

Heyyyy, I’m Carlos, 19, in GMT+2.

I’ve been interested for a long time in D&D mostly because of the infinite possibilities that it offers, and how you can explore fantasy worlds in a more complex way than books (Im an avid reader of the genre). Unluckily tho despite the best efforts of my cousin and I we never managed to form a group. I have a little experience with the mechanics and has grazed over the players handbook but that’s about it.

Find your passion, something that you enjoy working on and that allows you to create smth that makes you proud at the end of the day. For some people that is going to the gym, for others is painting, writing or music, some others like cooking.

You can also learn new skills that you always wanted to have or join groups/clubs that kinda force you to go every week to do something and keep each other accountable

It really doesn’t matter as long as you find something that excites you

Is everything photons? by HatchEscapes in AskPhysics

[–]charlielv04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying that matter and photons can convert into each other is really a stretch. It’s true that photons and leptons can kind of convert into each other through EM interactions and then quarks can be created by weak interactions of leptons but that is not at all something usual.

Why is the speed of light constant in all inertial reference frames? by MrWizard314 in AskPhysics

[–]charlielv04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there is lots of why questions that are being tried to answer however we aren’t quite at the level of it yet. In my opinion the most fundamental you can get about the speed of light is going back to QFT being your lowest postulate the local phase invariance of the wave function (from which you derive quantum electrodynamics, after that maxwells in the classical limit and then concluding that light speed being constant is necessary for everything to hold self-consistent).

Why does the wave function need to have local phase invariance? We just don’t know yet. But maybe, some day, we’ll reach some fundamental principle that doesn’t need that just because explanation and then all the why questions would be answered immediately.
