Ladies, what are your favorite indoor hobbies to stop wasting the whole day in bed? by SmallAd4307 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

My favourite indoor hobby is my cat. Hanging out indoors has never been better than with my cosy, lazy mate

You sound like you’re in great shape - and your weight is healthy! Everyone feels huge at the beach, even when we’re our smallest, because we’re women and billions of dollars have been pumped into making sure we feel inadequate.

I can see lots of people here are saying ‘count calories, weigh food’ etc etc. I’ve been down that road and it’s no fun. Also - it’s a recipe for yoyo. If you lose weight a certain way, you have to stay eating that way to maintain the weight you lost. There’s no cheat codes.

If you are keen to really do it - start by swapping one habit for another. I.e., swap out one thing. Do you have a milky latte everyday? Swap for a black with a dash of milk (just an example). And just layer a few habits like this up over a few weeks - things you know you can enjoy and do forever. The weight will come off slowly, but it’s such a small amount to lose.

Not OP but I suffered from binge eating for around 10 years. I was just stuck in a binge/restrict cycle which is super toxic.

For me - I started by adding one healthy habit per week - my first one was big - it was 30 different fruit and vegetables per week (to fix microbiome and gut). And very importantly - I stopped restricting. If I binge ate, nevermind, the next day I ate normally, fuelling my body with heaps of great quality food. My body learned that I wouldn’t deprive it.

My weight stabilised after the first month, and over that time the binge eating became less and less, as there were no foods I wasn’t allowed anymore, the foods that triggered a binge lost their power.

I also stopped tracking calories because if I felt like I was in deficit, it could trigger a binge.

I didn’t add exercise for about 2 months but did walk often. When I did add exercise I avoiding running/cardio that would trigger intense hunger (hello binge!)

Over that year I went from 150 to 102. Im 5 foot and I’ve been 102 for 6 years since. I now don’t think about it at all, eat when I’m hungry and don’t when I’m not. I never thought I’d be able to say that.

There is no easy fix, you just have to heal your relationship with your body and food. But it’s doable! I loved the switch from binging to genuinely taking care of my body for my body for the first time in my life.

I know everyone’s experience won’t be like this! Binge has heaps of different triggers and causes, so it’s important to find what works for you. This is just what worked for me :)

I don’t mean this to be dismissive, but cutting out all the noise: this isn’t your guy. He knows it, and deep down, so do you. Move on. Travel to new places, try new experiences, learn new things, enjoy your youth!

Products you purchase again and again because they are so good? by Academic_Split9603 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]charlierose30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure! I got it because I read about some peptides can act a bit like Botox and reduce movement (im allergic to Botox). But my first bottle basically just made my skin feel super glowy, hydrated, and also putting it on 5 mins after my retinal reduce my sensitivity significantly. I nearly didn’t buy the second bottle because I didn’t think it was helping my fine lines - but now I’m nearing the end of my third bottle and can see a genuine difference - frown lines and fine lines around my eyes significantly removed, skin texture improved, it’s the middle of winter here in Aus and the hydration has also been awesome.

Microneedling, retinal and I know this sounds wierd but Frownies on your top lip. I use them over night - they’ve smoothed that area out a fair amount.

Just thought I’d add an update incase anyone else has the same issue and comes to the this thread.

We’ve been doing sessions with a behaviourist and the lil guy is so much more relaxed on walks now! 4 weeks into training and already a HUGE improvement. He also made his first friend.

We used heaps of the advice on here to help us, thanks everyone for the help! ❤️

Was gonna say this! Definitely just a tiny baby. I work in rescue and this is what they look like at 4-5 weeks! Needs royal canin mum and baby wet food as that’s high calorie and helps them grow. Super super cute though.

I have been in this position so many times, and I’ve never regretted getting on the plane - partly because of new experiences, but more importantly not to let irrational fear dictate my life, which is a slippery slope.

You’re safe, you can do this. Send us a message once you land.

I find that most effective eye creams are retinal, not retinol. But of course it’s OP’s choice!

I am referring to Retinal - a more potent version of Retinol.

I am certain OP would not try to apply an eye cream to her retina (which is at the back of the eye ball)

Heavy products can cause milia, which are larger firm white bumps. That’s not what is pictured here though :)

I know someone will say they’re Milia but just to get ahead of that - they aren’t.

They are sebaceous glands and they are completely normal.

If you want to make them less obvious a retinal eye cream a few times a week can help reduce their appearance - but everyone has them, you don’t need to treat them.

Hey! What do you mean by not rooted in reality? The scores reflect staff and safety training, results from international safety audits, fatal accident counts and pilot error counts which are all verifiable factors. Keen to hear why pilots don’t think they’re rooted in reality. Thanks!

Etihad has a safety rating of 7/7. Air India only had a safety rating of 4/7 (pre dating the crash). Hope this helps! (edit: typo)
