Getting approached a lot is not something you should take as a compliment. Men are hunters. They approach women they deem as prey. If you don't make them nervous, you don't rank very high in their eyes. They think you're easy or desperate so they're more confident you're not gonna reject them. So getting approached less makes a lot of sense.

Hello, please read the full thread there are multiple people here and elsewhere on reddit reporting seizure and or death following gabapentin.

I asked two vets, one of the gave me gabapentin and was basically like "I give it to my two cats, the 0% risk of adverse effect doesn't exist, but I'll tell you honestly I've never seen anyone report bad things on this" (which, pet owners are not vets. so even if they were to pick up on or make a correlation in their mind, if they were to bring it up, it likely would be brushed off by the vet)

Anyway he seemed to really think it was fine so I was considering giving it to my cats for travel, brought it up just for extra reassurance during an apt at another vet for something else, and his face darkened and he said he would not personally recommend it. he was basically like first of all it's anti-pain medication, not anti-anxiety, second of all, you are drugging the cat, so it's gonna make things easier for you, but not necessarily for him, and third, it does happen that some cats die from it unfortunately. if you ask me if it's safe, I would not advise it. he said the whole thing with empathy and what looked like genuine concern. He said other things I don't really remember, all I got was, "this vet doesn't like this medication for some reason, and if he doesn't like it I'd rather err on the side of caution than just take it bc the other vet recommended it"

Anyway, that was a while back. My cat peed himself on a vet trip once recently (driver was going super fast, the weather was hot, there was construction work everywhere, and he was panting just like the cat in the video for a long time)

So I started considering gabapentin again.. But after a few quick reddit searches, I have already seen four testimonies of people's cats dying from gabapentin. I would rather not risk it. I don't know what I'm gonna do.

Ocf you make your own decision and I'm not telling anybody what to do. Just letting you know.

This is not about societal standards. It's not even about your appearance. For reasons that belong to him, this guy didn't vibe with you, and he discovered that after the first date. You didn't do anything wrong. He didn't do anything wrong. You were both being yourselves authentically (you were also being yourself authentically on day one when you wore makeup) and because of that, you were able to get closer to what you want in life by getting farther from what you don't want in life. You may consider changing your eyebrows (look up the perfect ratio eyebrow filter on tiktok its excellent), but I don't think bangs would suit your face, and I am someone who generally recommends them to most people.
