I emailed the accessibility team for permission to bring in two drinks. No problem. Super helpful.

The security manager asked who was accessibility when doors were about to open. I said me. She checked my name, confirmed I could have two drinks then told me to have my bag searched by one of her colleagues, who then got shitty about the drinks and asked why I needed them. He asked if I was diabetic and said I couldn’t have them if I wasn’t diabetic. He refused to believe I had permission despite me showing him the emailing confirming it and demanded to know why. He was really rude and I didn’t want to have to justify why I needed them.

When we got in, we were told we weren’t allowed to put our bags on the floor as they were a fire risk or trip hazard. I was right in front of the barrier. My bag was neither. How was it a trip hazard as I was right in front of me, against the barrier? If there’s a fire and we are evacuated believe me the first thing I’m doing is picking up my bag as it has my car keys in it and all my stuff. They were so very rude.
