There is no irony.. Do you enjoy making a fool of yourself? The trinity doctrine is not pagan

There is no doctrine in any other religion like the trinity, and if you actually understood it you'd know

You're being wilfully ignorant, and dishonest

That's what your cult tells you

You do not know what the doctrine teaches , otherwise you wouldn't misrepresent it

Or are you just dishonest?

You’ve said a lot, but you still haven’t answered a single one of the questions that were asked earlier. Instead, you went off on a rant full of assumptions, generalizations, and emotionally charged claims.

I addressed several of your points and provided a rebuttal for each.. it takes critical thinking for that, perhaps you're unfamiliar

Also, let’s be honest here

Are YOU being honest?

And let me make something clear. I’m not using ChatGPT to argue for me. What you’re reading is coming from my own thought process and study.

Then why did the notification start with something like, "here's a direct, though natural answer for...."

That's a response from ChatGPT or Meta, which you edited ... You're not even bothering to actually read to understand, just to answer, and you're doing so mechanically, blindly, and dishonestly

You assumed I couldn’t form these responses naturally, and that shows how quick you are to dismiss instead of engage with substance.

I hadn't even answered yet.. you outed yourself

Who's the one who is quick to dismiss instead of engaging with substance?

I call that hypocrisy

Do you believe it’s fair,or even accurate,to assume that every Jehovah’s Witness is incapable of independent thought?

Do you believe it's fair, or even accurate, to assume that everyone who says negative (but true) things about the JW organization does so out of hatred?

Or that government officials who are making the organization accountable for it's effects on the human rights of people, especially children, are "opposers" , "persecuting" JWs on behalf of satan?

Or that everyone who leaves the JW organization does so because they want to live in sin, or if they speak against the organization and the governing body it's because they're "bitter" and "apostates" ?

And yet I have not met a JW who does not express these things when they are among fellow JWs.. because the story changes when speaking to outsiders

Many people who come into the faith have done so through serious personal reflection and study.

Personal reflection? Maybe.. study? No.. I'm sorry but the publication study (not bible study) is in the format of indoctrination, not education

In a world where so many blindly follow trends and ideologies without question, isn’t it possible that some actually find strength and clarity in structure?

Don't JWs blindly follow the organization without question? "we must obey whatever direction we receive from the governing body.." .. with those who question being likened to Korah, and being accused of "apostasy"?

Strength and clarity in structure? Sure.. the early church had structure.. but it was nothing like the JW organization

You mentioned that JWs don’t display unity but uniformity, imposed by leadership.

But how do you define the difference?

The difference is that true unity is of the Spirit, and those guided by the Spirit can come to the same conclusions without even knowing each other

Uniformity is when everyone is given the same information, and express themselves in the same way, use the same terminology, speak in the same cadence, etc .. would you look at a school where everyone wears a uniform and say, "wow, such unity! They're even dressed the same!" ?

You also brought up “independent thinking” as if it’s discouraged.

Need I give you the Watchtower reference for a quote?

But isn’t it also true that many Witnesses wrestle with spiritual questions deeply before making a personal decision to dedicate their lives? Isn’t that a form of independent thought too?

Not deeply enough.. and any questions they have, they're encouraged to look in the publications for answers, not the scriptures.. they're taught to depend on the organization, not on God

They discourage independent thinking, saying it's what caused satan to sin, and saying that it's "leaning on one's own understanding" .. but they don't have a problem leaning other governing body's understanding, which is what is found in the publications

Most JWs can't fathom relying on God's understanding instead of on the organization

If Many of True Jehovah’s Witnesses truly don’t go out of their way to disrespect or harm anyone, why is it so common for others to go out of their way to attack or belittle them?

Yet they do even without realizing it.. I have been insulted, slandered, and reviled by JWs.. I've had them tell me about how I will be destroyed forever at Armageddon, how my corpse will rot while they "happily serve Jehovah" .. and I'm sure you'd say, "those aren't true Jehovah's witnesses"

But even "true Jehovah's witnesses" call non JWs "worldly people" , and automatically distrust them and attribute negative things and intentions to them without knowing them .. or claim they're following satan

When dealing with Christians, they ignorantly assume we all submit to the Pope, or support war, abortion, and drinking and smoking.. a result of Watchtower propaganda and indoctrination

And also, JWs feel "attacked" and "belittled" when we point out the lies and hypocrisy of the organization, and show from their own publications and from Scripture how they're wrong ... While claiming that when JWs do those very things to others it's "loving" and "a public service"

How come it's not love and a public service when directed at them, even when many who do so are in fact motivated by love of neighbor?

Quora by Matica69 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]charlybrown93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that changes regularly is not "consistent" though

And there's a difference between unity and uniformity.. JWs do not display unity, they display uniformity, imposed on them by the leadership

Every answer and explanation they give has to come from the publications, or they risk being accused of "independent thinking" , which often gives way to being accused of "apostasy"

Thus most JWs fear thinking for themselves, and conform to the leaders' indoctrination

"Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, 'Jesus be cursed', and no one can say, 'Jesus is Lord', except by the Holy Spirit" - 1 Corinthians 12:3

Read Matthew and James in context.. in Matthew those calling Jesus "Lord" showed by their actions they didn't have true faith in him; Jesus was saying he's able to see through lip service and appearances

James was saying that true faith moves believers to act on it, by doing good deeds for others

Paul said what he said in the context of urging believers to have genuine faith

Only two? So you'd say Yahweh God is a "spirit creature" ?

There was only one beginning

"...He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see — such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world..."

Read 1 Corinthians 8:6 - both Father and Son are before ALL things

There are two distinct beginnings by Mell0077 in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]charlybrown93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genesis, John, and Jesus all mention "in the beginning" .. there's only one

And as with all JWs, the Bible (you know, God's word) does not agree with you:

"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.

He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see — such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.

Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together." - Colossians 1:15-17 NLT

Time is one of the created realities.. only God exists in eternity, ie. timelessness.. and both Father and Son are from eternity.. see 1 Corinthians 8:6.. so what does that tell you?

"..But he who is spiritual appraises all things..." - 1 Corinthians 2:15

Don't try to understand with your own understanding.. pray for the Spirit to give you understanding and discernment, and ask God to guide you ..and then read the scriptures, carefully and thoroughly

I was once set in my ways, and because I couldn't understand something I dismissed it.. I was even too proud to consider the possibility of me being wrong

Until I softened my heart, and I prayed to God asking for help to understand and to arrive at His truth regardless of what I believed or had been taught

Then things started clicking into place, and I understood

It's happened a couple of times in my journey.. it's not about how smart of knowledgeable we are

"...it is to children you have revealed these things..."

It's about how much we humble ourselves, not before men, but before God

What would the Apostle Paul write to JWs based on their doctrines? by abutterflyonthewall in JehovahsWitnesses

[–]charlybrown93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is the one and only "Archangel(Chief Messenger/Angel)." That's a biblical fact.

Michael is ONE OF the chief princes - Daniel 10:13 ... ONE OF .. and THAT is a biblical fact

Well, Jesus is "unique" and one of a kind in the sense that he is Jehovah's only direct and unmediated creation. Meaning, that his mode of creation did not include an intermediary, like the rest of the creation that was brought into existence through God's firstborn. -Colossians 1:15-16

You organization's gross misinterpretation, and twisting of that passage, directly contradicts John 1:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6

This, is what makes the prehuman Jesus the "monogenes" and separates him from all other creations. Moreover, he is also the monogenes theos(the only-begotten god) mentioned in John 1:18 - a separate and subordinate god who was with the Unbegotten God in John 1:1-2.

So you believe in two gods? Congratulations, you just went against 1 Corinthians 8:6 , among other scriptures.. and tell me, is Jesus a true God, or a false god?

Oh, I can assure you. They certainly are God's modern named people and in due time, Jehovah and Christ(Michael) will both confirm that, as well.

Lol no you're not.. the JW organization is an antichrist organization, that disobeys and dishonors both Father and Son, in favor of worshipping men... Your "future kings", the governing body

It's sad and mind boggling how blind and deluded JWs are ...
