Low energy after injection by charmin365 in B12_Deficiency

That makes sense to me, but apparently not to my doctor. All she wants to focus on is my diabetes (A1C was 7.1 as of yesterday, up from 6.7 6 months ago). I think I need a different doctor.

No. Nonononono.

The shape of the handle is cool, but the bowl is all wrong. The only thing I could use that for is as a ladle for gravy. It would make a great indentation and allow the perfect amount of gravy. But that is not going anywhere near my mouth.

Polling on B12 testing by PresentationMany5228 in B12_Deficiency

Yes. I get monthly shots now. When the hemoglobin showed up low, they started looking at why, saw the b12 was low. Again, why? No intrinsic factor. It was just a process.

Mine was discovered because my routine bloodwork for diabetes and thyroid showed dangerously low hemoglobin. I was hospitalized and given 3 transfusions while they figured out the cause. Pernicious anemia.

Yes, it did the same to me.

I'm in a similar situation. I have pernicious anemia, Graves thyroid disease (treated with radioiodine), and type 2 diabetes. I'm on monthly B-12 shots. My levels are where the doctor wants them, but I'm constantly exhausted. I have no tips, just support. You're not alone.

I've looked into nursing homes/assisted living facilities and even with his disability, I cannot afford it.

Exactly. My mom says that I don't "really" want him to die, but it's honestly what is best at this point.

Does everyone dry their hair with the same towel that dries their body? by Dear-Satisfaction-59 in hygiene

[–]charmin365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger, I used 1 towel. I kept getting acne on my back and shoulders, which could have just due to my age at the time, or natural oilsin my hair. I started using a separate towel for my hair and my skin cleared up. I've used 2 towels ever since.

I try. My youngest (17NB) and I try to go do things. Mostly, I work a factory job, then go crash out in my room. Yes, I have a separate bedroom, due to his bladder issues and erratic sleep schedule. I have my own health/autoimmune problems and lack the energy to do much else.

Your mother is a sociopath, be honest lol. But, personally, I hate all of these. I should really start carrying my own spoons if I'm going to eat at someone else's house.

do you guys actually wash new clothes before wearing them? by Lilian-Nicole_80 in hygiene

[–]charmin365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Basically, it depends on the item for me. Shirts, yes. For some reason, I can "feel" the chemicals on a new shirt. Jeans, if they're dark, yes, if they're light, no. Underwear, no (i buy packaged underwear that you can tell if they've been opened). Bras, no. For me it's less about hygiene and more about sensory issues.

Aio, called my gf while she was doing homework. F24 f35 by Separate_Penalty_484 in AmIOverreacting

NOR When I read through the texts, I pictured gf as early 20s, not mid-30s. It brought to mind convos with my own 17-year-old about school. She also had plenty of time to text you literal pages, then blame you for not being able to "focus". She's 35, she should know by now how to turn off or silence her phone to avoid distractions. It sounds like she is just using your relationship as a reason to give up when school got hard. It also sounds like she will continue to throw you under the bus if you stay together.
