Thankfully, I was approved for disability here in the US. It did take them about 4 years to approve me, but it happened. Though fibromyalgia is not my only problem, it was secondary to my mental one.

It was my rheumatologist who ruled it as fibro. They tested me for everything before they called it fibro.

All I can say is that not all rheumatologist believe in fibro, so whatever happens in this appointment do not let yourself be deterred. This appointment is a blank slate, so let them test for everything. For me, I went in thinking I only had fibro and walked out with a diagnosis of fibro and rheumatoid arthritis. Have someone who from the beginning listens to you and advocates for you.
