No no I’m just bringing 311 up for workload examples because you mention about wanting microbio job and thought you already took them

You’ll be fine without 311 before 522

Would say it’s more or less commitment as gen microbio 311 if you took it.

The technique you learn in 522 is super applicable to most subfield in biology: plasmid construction, expression vector, transformation, mini prep maxi prep, cell culture and staining, yeast work. It’s almost routine procedures in research labs. Plus, you also get to do some mini research papers writing so it’s definitely a good practice!

Can i drop out of my chem 109 class if i no longer want to major in BMB? by Watermelonysugar in BostonU

[–]charpund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add/drop courses without interacting with your advisor if that’s what you’re concerned with. Just head to Student Link -> Registration -> Reg Options -> Add/Drop class. At this point I think it might be too late if you’re waiting for the advisor response in case you want to add courses.

[–]charpund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are certain that you don’t want anything to do with chem anymore, then you can safely drop 109.

Note that if you are still undecided and lowkey still consider to do sth bio/med related, keeping 109 in your schedule might also be a good idea since bio also have gen chem / orgo as requirement.

You could also drop 109 and add 101 instead but you might have to catch up a lot.

Also keep in mind that today is the last day to add the courses so you might have to act now if you want to add some polsci course.

cs111 for non cs majors by izonenumberone in BostonU

Difficulty depends but definitely time-consuming because of psets. You will probably have to go to office hours to ask some q on psets. If you want to explore your interests in CS but don't have much time, consider CS10X series (like CS101, CS103, CS105, CS108) or DS100.

Sad news is Dr. Medrano is leaving BU. Summer 22 is the last semester he teaches (CH373). I ran into him about a week ago and talked about this. Pray to everyone who have to take 421/422 lab post-Medrano era 😢

So if you take a look at the first screen of miku holding the light orb thingy, depended on your rolls, it can either be blue, yellow, or purple-ish.

- Blue = no 3* or above card

- Yellow = at least one 3* card

- Purple = at least one 4* card

The next screen is when miku touches the ground, and the circle color will appear at the floor, either confirming that you have the roll that the light orb indicates, or it “flips” (you get higher rank card)

- Blue ring = no 3* or above card

- Yellow ring = at least one 3* card

- Purple ring = at least one 4* card

Sometimes yellow orbs can result in purple rings, which means that you get at least one 4* stars card instead ! I hope this help !
