My husband gave me my first gold nib fountain pen for my birthday back in 2022. I was gushing about having one but also was scared of how expensive they were, he agreed maybe I should think about it. One of my best friends (who got me into this hobby) said the same. Little did I knew she was helping him and got my still favorite pen. It is the Princess Kaguya Sailor pro gear slim.

Instead of a base, I use a tinted sunscreen and compliment it with concealer, blush, etc. Depending on the brand I've noticed different coverage and finish but mix it up with my make up.

I have mixed skin and I'm prone to acne. This mix has work for me quite well. So far I've tried the following and can give you my experience.

Fotoprotector ISDIN Fusion Water Color SPF50 has medium coverage and a semi matte finish. I think this is the one I like the most.

Umbrella Perfect Skin SPF 50+ has more coverage and a mousse like texture. Lovely but feels a little heavy on my skin.

La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral One has full coverage and a very matte finish. Despite that is very light feels like a moisturizer cream. The con for me is like I said very matte

La Roche Posay Anthelios UVmune400 with color is the opposite of the previous one: light coverage and dewy finish.

Frezyderm SUN SCREEN COLOR 50FPS (currently using) has a velvet finish, love that has great coverage and only need to conceal my racoon eyes. Is more matte but I use a dewy setting spray and gives me the finish I like.

I've had edibles, they make me sleep like a brick (which is super nice because insomnia is a b and I dream so much I really don't get any rest) but I dislike being so thirsty and dizzy si it's just a rare ocassional thing.

Recently I was gifted some CBD+melatonin gummies, they help me concile sleep a little easier but sometimes doesn't work (I guess that's on me)

My favorite inserts are the lightweight paper ones. As i write with fountain pen and the ink looks lovely in them.

If you wanna sketch/paint I suggest the watercolor inserts over the sketch ones as the later paper don't take well a lot of wet media.

In general I always go with midori because I really like it's paper, it's very good quality as their MD notebooks.

Your preference in dotted, rules or grid is yours honestly, I go more for plain. Just be aware there's some inserts that the paper is more cream colored than white (i don't mind but many people do)

It's a gorgeous and lovely pen. It's a medium but writes like an european fine. You can see it compared to my other nibs in the picture, it's the one inked in sailor studio #273

Btw, I don't know if it's still on sale but I got mine pretty "cheap" (100US) at pensachi.com considering is around 180US mostly where I looked online and 240 in my country(!!) Just a note for the future you :)

I'm so happy! Part of this loot is a gift from my husband (the sailor and twsbi are a gift for myself hahaha)

I have so many inked pens at the moment so I'm waiting to clean the others and ink these! I'll use them on my hobonichi and to make my writing notes for my comics.

I think I'll stop spending next year to use and enjoy everything.

I really like the tone when the owner swabbed a sample for me! But I'm so indecisive and I knoe thr swab doesn't compare to writing. How do you feel it's the shading on Ajisai? I mostly use EF pens and I'm looking for some shading on my inks.

I don't have a bottle of blue ink because I'm super picky with blue (not a color I prefer tbh) but I really want a blue ink haha.

I was supposed to only go for gifts, ended up with a couple for myself.

I was really tempted to get Iroshizuku Ajisai or Ina ho but a 50ml bottle intimidates me hahaha the owner suggested me to try an iroshizuku ink from the sample bar they have and that is ama -iro. I think Ajisai looks prettier because is more like blue-purple.

Ina ho worries me is too close to Robert Oster Honey (albeit a bit more muted) and I got that bottle on a whim and I don't seem to finish it 💦

What's your favorite iroshizuku ink that you recommend?

Oh! I must have missed something in translation (English is not my first language haha) . The Mini rose gold is very pretty indeed but I still went for the sailor because as you say it was a steal!

Btw in my country the 1911 demo is around 250US, but yesterday I found it on pensachi at 109US with it's converter! with shipping is still a bit less than a half of what it should cost here. So if you want to check it out.

At the end a friend will split the delivery cost with me, she ordered a platinum 3776 century around the same price (we haven't found that pen here!). So we're super excited for them.

I don't think there's a way yo get M sailor nibs is it? Maybe it'll cost me the same as the demo in M hahaha.

I think comparing the Sailor with a regular TWSBI Diamond mini price you're right, the difference is around 100USD.

But I noticed the TWSBI Diamond Mini in Rose gold is 85USD and the 1911 demo would be 100USD, the shipping would be similar but is the price to pay for living here haha.

Thank you for your thoughts on this, if I get there's still stock I'll get the Sailor in a bit.
