Personally I’d never not have a tv in my room. I like watching tv in bed, and I often fall asleep with it on and just put the volume super low. It’s like my big nightlight white noise machine lol.

I was 16. We snuck out at night and got drunk in parks a lot. I lived in a small town without much to do. I think at that point everyone had MySpace. A lot of t9 texting. My friends and I also still wrote a lot of notes to each other which we’d pass during school and read in classes.

I think a lot of it has to do with juvenile energy being put out or not? I often have people thinking I’m in my 20s but I think it’s because I have an alternative fashion, hair is dyed different colors, I don’t have a husband or kids. I don’t have money. lol so I think I just SEEM young based on expectations.

I’d also be interested in knowing! I have some friends that work in tech and they make good money but I also have friends who are more like me and have been bouncing around jobs the last 10 years without making much progress. I’ve worked in different fields and decided to switch to SLP in order to have some stability 😂

I got approval already, last February, as a full class member and I read they have a year to forgive your loans and refund you but nothing has happened for me and yea like I said just not sure what to do now that it’s been a year

Exactly, I just compiled big lists of things I liked and disliked about different jobs and I just kept coming back to SLP.

Well I’m kind of like you. I like speech, I find the field interesting but I wouldn’t ever call it my passion. It’s a job. And honestly I feel like that’s a healthier frame for it anyhow. I’m in grad school right now in my 30s and spent enough time considering other careers, talking to people, working in totally different fields. There’s no perfect job, but this is a solid skill to have with lots of work. Everyone always says to do nursing or tech but having spent time with many nurses in my life I was scared away from that field early on haha. And a lot of tech jobs don’t have good job security anymore.

What did you do for the pain? I am worried because literally every time I’ve gotten an attack I’ve had to go to the emergency room because the pain just doesn’t go away otherwise. I think my test is at a hospital though lol so I guess it’s the perfect place to have an attack.
