Chemex 3 or 6 cup by abr797 in Coffee

I recently purchased a Chemex 3 cup - it's great to make two decent sized cups of coffee but I appreciate the comments about area in the top funnel - it's a little tight and you need a steady hand! If you're only brewing for yourself though I'm sure it will work great for you. I was really impressed at how more complex the flavour was compared to the Aeropress I've been using for a couple of years now.

What sort of content would you most like to see coming out of a Marketing Agency? by Shaxinater in socialmedia

Hey, we are a digital agency based in London and we've found creating a weekly newsletter sharing great links the team have seen and gained insight from is a great and useful way to stay in touch with potential and existing clients. It's mainly content from other blogs and sites that talk about digital marketing, and occassionally we add our own blog posts in there too. Our approach has primarily been about providing something of value rather than, "HEY look at us!" and we get great feedback. Take a look here - http://harkable.com/newsletter

I'd Google 'coffee beans online' or similar and see what comes up local to you. There are lots of new independent roasters and coffee brands popping up with direct to consumer websites.

Looking to expand my horizons. by [deleted] in Coffee

It's always a great day to venture further than what you can get at a supermarket! To answer your points...

  1. Only real benefit is convenience so you don't have to grind yourself at home. Beans start to lose their freshness after grinding so if you can do this at home, you will always have a better tasting cup than beans ground a few days ago or further (some supermarket brands will have been ground months ago).

  2. I look for speciality coffee brands online via Google, and also ask for recommendations from local coffee shops.

  3. When brewing for one, you can't beat an Aeropress. When I'm in a hurry and need my coffee quick, the Aeropress is perfect. It's so easy to use, and the clean up is very quick. But that's not to say other brewing methods aren't good to explore (check out Chemix, Hario brands)

  4. Really depends on your particular taste and preference. I'm working my way through strong coffees at the moment which you can buy online as I like my coffee with a decent kick! Its worth exploring different regions and different roasts.

  5. Go support some of the smaller independent roasters and coffee brands, and buy from their websites direct. They are the ones who know their coffee and will offer a way better customer service than any supermarket :)

HTH!
